Hotel advertised luxury and pool. No luxury,no pool. Great location - in a very upscale area - inexpensive hotel, but don't expect anything but VERY basic beds (quite thin, but new, mattress; pillows from my childhood (and I'm 57), and a
We had such a hard time finding this location. Staff was friendly but didn't speak good English. When we entered the room, the floor was still dirty. We turned on the light fixtures, only 1 out of 3 was working. We reserved the room for 3 people
but there were only 2 towels in the bathroom. There were no coffee machine in the room. Parking is $15 Canadian. You must deposit $50 for incidental fee up front. This hotel is include a small continental breakfast (small muffins and big croissants, coffee and orange juices).
We arrived there at 10:30pm and couldn't find anything to eat, mostly close or only night club was opened so we got a piece of bread from Starbucks after 1/2 hour walk around that area.
If you like the Nightlife, this will be your place, if you won't mind the room not totally cleaned, and old, contain some old building smell.
This hotel has a great location, right around the corner from the ROM, lots of upscale shopping (Versace, Calvin Klein), Whole Foods right next door, safe, busy neighborhood (even at 1am on a Monday!)
If you plan to only shower and sleep in your
room, then this is the place for you.
Air conditioning works, and they have clean towels and sheets.
Downsides are that it smells pretty old and dingy. Rooms are old and could use some updating. Walls have bubbles everywhere under the worn wallpaper. Our bathroom door did not shut all the way, so did not have total privacy. (Luckily was traveling with a good friend..so was not a big issue for us) Complimentary "breakfast" consists of orange juice, coffee, 2 kinds of muffins
and croissants. $15/day to park there on sight. Staff was pretty friendly.
Overall, I would go back due solely to the location and the price.
Two nights, 2 rooms, family of 4. Cheerful, helpfull staff. Quiet rooms. Terrific location; near the ROM, shopping, University, restaurants. And PARKING, ($15 per day)which is a great price in Toronto. Altogether, a pleasant experience.
the hotel is a very good value for the money. you can expect a clean comfortable basic room, spacious, a small charming lobby, and a location in one of toronto's nicest neighborhoods. i will stay again, and recommend it to anyone.
