We had 2 rooms. One was a reasonable
We had 2 rooms. One was a reasonable size, the other was unbelievably small. It would pay to ensure that you got one of the bigger standrad rooms or pay the extra for an upgrade as those rooms appeared very spacious. The service was very helpful and friendly.

Small glitch with hot water in shower (didn't work) and TV remote. We were promptly given another room with no problems at all. Friendly staff.

Cozy, Quaint and Comfortable
I went to Toronto for a conference at the Convention Centre on Front Road the location of the hotel was perfect a nice short walk. The room was small but since it was only me it wasn't a problem. The lobby was a bit run down and the tap in the bathroom dripped and drained all night but I just closed the bathroom door and solved to bothersome noise. The adjoined Breakfast and Lunch restaurant was nice but a bit pricey. The Hotel is Old but quaint and very affordable. Very close to the subway

Very small rooms
The Hotel Victoria was very close to the downtown attractions. The check-in clerk was very rude and had a very bad attitude. The lobby was small and was in need of face lift. It was very dark and dingy. The rooms, although very clean and decorated very well, were extremely small, as was the bathroom. We checked out extremely early because the room had no place to sit other than on the bed. I would never stay at this hotel again.

Nice hotel, great location
Hotel Victoria in Toronto was very nice. Everything was clean, the bed comfortable. The room was maybe on the small size but still quite adequate and had a big wardrobe. The location was great, right downtown and within walking distance to everything we wanted to see in Toronto.

Prime location
I think the best thing going for this hotel is its prime location (5 min walk from Union Station and right in the center of things on Yonge St.). The hotel was clean but the rooms on the smaller side. Don't expect anything great but if you want a decent hotel right near downtown without paying through the roof, Hotel Victoria fits the bill.
