Zoo hotel features two restaurants, waterslide and roaring-good time
The official hotel of the Toronto Zoo does fun right, with a 110-foot waterslide dropping guests into its indoor pool, squash courts, two fantastic on-site restaurants and, of course, easy access to the nearby zoo. But the Delta Toronto East is also ideal for business, with 22,000 square feet of meeting space, on-staff Delta Meeting Maestros, and high-speed Internet access available throughout the premises (fees apply). In addition, the guest rooms are comfortable, and downtown Toronto is less than 15 minutes away.Highlights
- 110-foot waterslide in indoor pool
- Fine Japanese cuisine at on-site Sagano restaurant
- 26 elegant meeting rooms to choose from
Rooms
The Delta Toronto East's guest rooms and suites are decorated with warm colors and classic furnishings. Expect operable windows, individually controlled heating and cooling units and high-speed Internet access (fees apply in some cases) in all rooms and suites. For more space, consider the Hospitality Suite or Junior Suite, both with separate sleeping and sitting areas. Reserve the Signature Club Room for upgraded amenities such as iPod/MP3 clock radios, complimentary access to the Club Lounge, and luxury bedding.
Features
Book any of the 26 meeting rooms and get full access to the Delta Meeting Maestros in the deal. High-speed Internet access is available throughout the premises, so staying connected is easy (fees apply). Brave the 110-foot monster slide at the indoor pool, or walk on the wild side and take the family to the nearby zoo. After a busy day, make an appointment at Angel's Spa to truly relax, or enjoy a meal at Whitesides Terrace Grille or Sagano, which specializes in fine Japanese cuisine.

Average working hotel.
An adequate hotel that was undergoing some much-needed renovation. The entire place has a tired feelng. Food in the bar was quite good. Front desk were friendly.

We got wht we paid for but an outrageous $15/day for parking
They gave us a room on the second floor of what seemed to be the original hotel. There was no ice in that building or wi-fi in the room. But we had a wired internet connection. I had to go and get ice in the other building. The best rooms in this hotel we think are in the other building. We usually stay downtown and even downtown the hotel provided parking. This hotel is in the outskirts of the city and we expected free parking. Next time we will go back downtown.

Favourite Scarborough Hotel
We have been staying at the Delta Toronto East in Scarborough when visiting family for the last several years. The location is perfect as it is right at the intersection of Kennedy and the 401. The service is very good and the staff are very friendly. The only complaint we have is that when we get a suite looking onto Highway 401 we can sometimes hear faint traffic noise.

Traffic and parking prices in downtown Toronto can be atrocious. When headed downtown we parked at the Kennedy subway station for $5 and took the train instead of driving.

Pool nice, hotel worn out
Only thing nice was the indoor pool area. Food was bad, none of the soda machines worked (that's 7 machines on each even numbered floor!), bathroom and bedroom were well worn with cracks and stains in the sink, elevator needed an overhaul[...].Not a nice palce to stay and don't plan on trying to get downtown very quickly. Most direct route is Don Valley Parkway which is a parking lot throughout most of the day. It's only 13 miles but plan on the trip taking 60-75 minutes.Overall an unpleasant experience.

nice property
Good hotel. Try to get rooms away from the pool and not on first floor. too noisy with kids jumping in the indoor pool till 10pm. The pool is huge and awesome. Would be great for family with kids but I was a business traveller. Nice rooms, 2 resturants, well maintained, right on 401 expressway. $14/night parking charges and $10 for internet. I wish parking was free because it was not downtown. downtown is 15 mins and airport 45 mins by car. Not a good location if you don't have a car. I enjoyed the stay and will stay there again. oh..and awesome bed..
