This hotel is nice and clean, lobby looks nice, great views from most of the rooms of the city. Rooms are not wifi enabled, something that could be beneficial for international travelers. The check-in and check-out experience is slow, so expect to make extra time for those processes.

Delta
No heat in hotel, only one setting AIR OR HEAT. depending on the season. Ask 3 times for a portable heater for room. Promised 3 times "RIGHT AWAY" Never got a heater. The check in and out staff where great. the rest of the hotel was poor or no responsive. they kept busy talking to them selves. We hand to interrupt there conversation to get info or service. The restaurant staff completely unfriendly as if they where to important to help.. Only one bell boy helped with our luggage. There is no way I would recommend this place or stay there in the future, unless I bring my own heater or "BLANKETS" BOB I.

Relaxing in Toronto
The hotel is an excellent location, in the middle of everything. The rooms are comfortable, but need IT upgrades. You can walk all over town and public transportation is very close and provides excellent service. The hotel needs some updating as the rooms only offer wired dial-up internet connections. There is limited space in the lobby to use the free wi-fi, and it gets crowded several times a day. The rooms still have CRT televisions. I understand they have updated some rooms, this needs to extend troughout the hotel. There is a Cafe-style restaurant which is a great place to grab breakfast before heading out for the day. The prices are very reasonable. The food in the formal restaurant was very good. However my server seemed overwhelmed with the tables she had. Joan, at the concierge was exceptional. She has a great knowledge of Toronto, anwered all my questions, and made some great suggestions - especially for dinner my last night at Donatello's (a must try Italian restaurant). Her knowlidge and freindly, outgoing personality added that "something extra" touch to my stay. This hotel will be on my short list for my next Toronto visit.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
A definite place to check out for lunch, dinner or drinks is the Elephant and Casle Pub. It's less that a two minute walk from the hotel (corner of Yonge and Gerrad). The food was great, especially the Shepherd's Pie and Bread Pudding. The entire staff is very friendly and attentive and takes great care of all their guests. I went back several times...and will again on my next visit. A great unexpected find!!!

Good hotel, great location
The best part for me about the Delta Chelsea, is that it is about a 2 minute walk from Yonge Street, just above Dundas. This is an exceptionally central location, steps to the Eaton Centre, The Atrium and to Dundas subway station. In the hotel, I found the staff to be very courteous and helpful. The remote control for the TV didn't work, but when I remembered to mention it at 2 am after a night out, it was replaced immediately. I also had an issue with the shower head which was also fixed immediately. I did find the room a little bit outdated and crowded, but it was very clean. There were no ipod chargers in the room, which I kind of expected. The free internet access is by cable only, and the speed is spotty depending on the time of day. To be expected I guess. Overall, I would definitely stay there again.

Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
To avoid the always bustling Yonge street, take the Yonge street exit from the hotel, but turn right immediately instead of walking ahead to Yonge. Continue on through the alley way to Elm, take a little jog right (west) to the next alley and continue on to Edward. Straight ahead is an entrance to the Atrium on Bay, which has a subway entrance in the basement. Immediately on the left is the World's Biggest Book Store, further on to the left is Yonge street, but now you are a little further down Yonge Note: the second alley is closed on Sundays and I would probably avoid it at night.

great location
The room we were in was a bit dated and could have done with a paint job especially the ceiling and some tiles in the bathroom could have been replaced. overall the hotel was very good and great central location as we were able to walk to many places from it. We would have benefited from a tea maker in the room rather than a coffee maker. Staff were very hospitable and helpful
