I spent a lot of time walking the streets of Toronto. I never needed a cab or bus because the location was close enough to ... walk to everything that I could have wanted to see. This was as nice a trip as I have ever experenced.

Delta Chelsea gives a great feel for downtown Toronto--a very busy place, in the centre of things. Hotel has a great fitness ... centre/pool, but I spent most of my time shopping and visiting. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was average with comfortable bed. Good value for the price.

The Rex Jazz lounge has some great jazz and/or blues music and the food isn't bad for "bar" food (it's pretty cheap by TO standards!) It's on Queen St. (Walk south on Yonge St, then west on Queen for around 3 long blocks or so. It will be on the right.

Fun Weekend Trip
Weekend Traveler Nov 22, 2009
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful in directing us to where we wanted to go. The location was great - right in ... tourist central but a short walk away from clubs and night life, which was our main attraction. For daytime the hotel is in the perfect location for shopping,it is super close to Eaton Centre. There are many restaurant options inside the hotel. The pools were great, one quiet and relaxing for adults and the other fun for kids, with the only indoor waterslide in Toronto!

Melissy Nov 22, 2009
The staff was very welcoming and offered valet parking at the self parking rate due to the size of our vehicle. The lobby is ... beautiful. The room was for four people and was average. I am sure that they have beautiful rooms and accommodations but that is not was provided to us this visit. The hotel gym appeared to be very comprehensive. The location is GREAT!!!! I would say that if you are looking for a place to stay in Toronto with parking this is the Hotel.

Great hotel and service
I love Toronto Nov 16, 2009
The location is the best in Toronto; within walking distance of Eaton Centre (Dundas Square) and up to Bloor Street too and ... the main tourists places on Yonge and Queen Streets. When we arrived the king room we were assigned was not made up. The staff was apologetic and explained that if we took 2 double beds we could be on a higher floor with more options so we did that. The double beds are small but very comfortable. The cleaning staff was very nice. The kids pool looks like a lot of fun and the private adult pool, sauna and jacuzzi are great! The room did not have a corkscrew or a refrigerator. That would have been nice. The shower would lose water pressure for about a minute and then come back on full force (the temp was constant). Other than those minor details, it was wonderful. I highly recommend it if you know nothing about Toronto (I live in TO in the summers)and want to walk everywhere. If you just stay on Yonge St you will see tons of things, but venture over to Queen and up to Bloor as well. Also, if your room is by the elevators it will be a bit noisy and the lobby is like a mad house of activity but you still get great service.

Everything was was good but for the cost it was not worth the stay. Had to request a late checkout for 2pm and the only way ... they would allow me to do so was a $69.00 upcharge which I feel was reasonable. I will not stay there again on my future stays to Downtown Toronto

Trip to Toronto
Canadian_at_heart Oct 26, 2009
The hotel was great. Service was prompt, the restaurants were nice. The only thing that was an issue was parking. They have ... an underground parking garage and some of those spots really are too small for any modern car. You'd need a Mercedes Smart car or a honda fit, to get into some of the spaces they outlined. Also, while being on a main street was great, depending on the time of day, you couldn't turn down some streets to make it to the Chelsea easily. Overall, it was excellent, clean, and quite interesting. A wushu tournament was going on, and most of the participants were saying at the delta. It was funny sing them carry their long spears, short and long swords, Sai and staffs around.

There is a 24 hour store if you cross garrard st. Its nice for grabbing soda or something. Things close "early" (about 10pm) at the delta.

Great location, average rooms
Pretzel Girl Oct 21, 2009
The Delta Chelsea is a great location right in downtown Yonge, but...we upgraded to a deluxe room and it was nice but it ... wasn't fantastic. There's some scratches and scuffs on the walls and furniture, as expected from a hotel room. The bathroom was a little older & smaller than I would have liked. Overall, the room was ok, the pool/fitness area was ok, and the location was very convenient. It was a huge hotel also, much bigger than I expected. Bottom line, I would recommend people maybe look elsewhere to see if there's a nicer hotel for the same price but I don't know if there is or not.

This is an excellent hotel in a great location. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and neat with comfortable ... beds. Bathroom was also clean and neat with plenty of hot water available any time of day or night. Parking seemed a little pricey, but average for a well-located, big-city, full service hotel in Toronto. Located right on Yonge Street (despite an address on Gerrard Street West.) Close to subway. Beautiful lobby and public areas. 3 restaurants (I think) on-site, including an informal, buffet-style restaurant with a nice selection of food & beverages. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again when I'm in Toronto.

Yanks Fan Oct 20, 2009
Spent the weekend in Toronto to do some shopping on Yonge Street. The hotel was beautiful as expected, but the room was not ... ready iupon check in (We paid $30 for an upgraded room). Parking was $26 for the night at the hotel. If I did it again I would stay down the street at the Marriot Courtyard 3 block North of the Delta Chelsea. Just as nice- cheaper price.

Mangrai Thia Restaurant at 82 Ontario Street. Great Thia food!! We asked the hotel to make a reservation for us and when they called the restaurant owner ended up coming to pick us up and drove us to the restaurant! He gave us a great tour of the city on our way to the restaurant. His wife is a world renowned Thia chef and it showed in the food. My kids ordered off the regular menu and my husband and I had the chef's special. We all left happy and full! The restaurant called us a cab and even the cab driver raved about the restaurant. If you like Thia this is the place to go!!!
