Excellent Conference

I was at this hotel for a conference which was held downstairs. The location was ideal and the staff were helpful and pleasant. My room was large and quite clean. There was an incident of a flood in the bathroom; due to the design of the wheelchair accessible shower (the shower floor was higher than the bathroom floor). The staff were quick to bring towels. I will stay here again but I do not suggest others stay in a wheelchair accessible room unless necessary.

Very dirty and old

I have stayed in many Courtyard by Marriott in the past 5 years and always had a very good atmosphere and nice clean room (Marriott Style). This is the first time I was very disappointed about the room, it looked old, dirty and smelly. The lobby staff was ok, but not the most pleasant. The price was extremely high for what I received and sincerely I will never stay in that hotel anymore!

Simple, comfortable, central

Despite what it said on website, Internet was free and easy to use. Staff very pleasant. Starbucks in lobby. Clean, simple, neat. Outstandingly comfortable beds, duvet and pillows. Excellent central location. Great value overall and I'll definitely go back.

I loved this hotel and the staff and the room and the bar!!

Check-in with Terry was fabulous. He was the clerk for the Marriott Rewards network and certainly gave us a reward. He gave us a lovely room on 15, very quiet and spacious. All the MODs in the lobby were helpful. The lobby is particularly nicely done. Corey in the bar was a fund of information on places to go and what were the "best" places to go. I just really liked the attitudes at this hotel a great deal. Penelope

Good Value for Downtown Toronto Area

Good value and amenities for the business traveller wanting to stay downtown. The rooms, and the free gym, are clean, modern, and well equipped. It's my understanding from speaking with a fellow traveller that they have recently undergone a major rennovation. Wifi is free and fast. The cafe/bar area serves up Starbucks by morning to get you going and adult beverages by evening to help you wind down. There is also plenty of room and tables in the cafe/bar or lobby areas to meet with clients. A short walk down Yonge St. will allow you to take in the city and get you to many local attractions.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

"Hoops" sports bar right across the street has a good atmosphere, good bar food, and tons of TVs tuned to sports (mostly hockey of course...it is Canada, eh!?)...but beware (or enjoy I suppose) Wednesday night karaoke starting around 10pm!
