So, so place to go.

Stayed 3 nights at the hotel; room was cleaned once. The furniture in the room looked like it had been wet because most of the furniture was warped. No easy access to the pool from the North Tower which turned out okay since the water in the pool was green. The best part of the hotel was the Fireside Grill. Excellent spot for food and drink.

You Get What You Pay For

This hotel is very conveniently located. It's not too in the middle of things so as to be on the noisy side of things but walking distance to the heart of downtown. There are a bunch of sketchy people and stores (a series of head shops, adult shops and countless hobos) so I can't say it's in a neighborhood that you'd want to stroll through with the family. The hotel room was good enough for the deal we got (about 120/night I think) but it definitely has the grimey undertone thee types of hotels tend to have. You wouldn't shower here without sandals or sit on the toilet bowl or anything...they cleaned my room everyday but it still smelled like hobo each time. The staff is pretty friendly and they will accommodate you as much as they are allowed/instructed to. Stay here if it's cheap, think really hard if it's not. JO

Take advantage of all the amazing eateries they have nearby...Thai, American, West Indian, tons of Halal. We tried each type and they were all really good!

Overall Great Experience

Staff is friendly and helpful. Room and hotel was average but location was a wonderful base for sightseeing, right on the main boulevard, Yonge St. Many nice restaurants just a few minutes walk, and most sights a short $10-15 ride. Great place NOT to have a vehicle as parking is expensive at $30/day. Free wireless internet worked well in the room. Pay per view movies available at $13-16 each.

Good Enough

All things considered, I'll give a B- rating to this hotel. The best thing about this hotel is it's location and, because of it, the value seemed reasonable. Most of the staff we encountered weren't very welcoming. While the room was clean--but recycled the linens somewhat during our stay; areas were dusty when we arrived--the TV didn't often work properly. Would I stay there again? Probably, but only after looking elsewhere first.

Great Hotel, excellent location

Hotel was easy to find and in great location. Room was ready when we arrived so we were able to check in and freshen up a bit before hitting the town. Everything was clean and staff was very helpful and friendly. I was only disappointed that it only had one lounge bar and restaurant that closed at 10 pm even for room service. Would have given more stars had their restaurant/bar/room service were open later. Although there are many other places in the area to go to, it's always nice when traveling to be able to get something to eat or a cocktail late night at hotel without going through the hassle of bringing it in from elsewhere. There is a snack shop from which to buy stuff at even some toiletries had you forgotten em which is nice. Hubby and daughter enjoyed the pool and were impressed it even had a wadding pool for younger kids to use. Tons of shopping, dining and attractions near so easy to walk to.
