sleepless in toronto

people on our floor were partying all night, smoking [*], slamming doors , yelling at intervals in the hall, at midnight, 3am till 5-6am--it was the worst night ever!! I called the front desk, they said I was the 3rd call regarding this noise, and they made 2 trips to tell them to be quiet. Then at 6:00, a fire alarm went off- for about 30 minutes, we felt we did not sleep at all. I do not understand why the manager did not kick the party people out of the hotel, as their behavior was so unacceptable. I am really upset about this, was so tired today, difficult to enjoy the day-lack of sleep-thanks to selfish people.

Great location downtown Toronto

Great location and beautiful building. The only problem is that unless you get valet parking, you must walk to a public parking building across the street. This is an inconvenience if you are with children or elders. Specially during winter. I also found a dirty sock that somebody left in the room. I guess everybody make mistakes. Overall, the hotel is grate and I would visit it in the future.

Nice Hotel, Convenient Location

We were very lucky. We were placed in a room that was close enough to the elevator, but far enough to be away from the noise. The room was big enough for our family, and very clean. The front desk and staff were courteous and helpful. We've stayed at various 3-star and 4-star hotels, and this one was one of the better ones. The location made it very accessible to the subway, buses and shops. Eaton Shopping Center was within walking distance. Overall, a very nice hotel.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

The parking fee was $25 per day for self-parking at the hotel. If you stay during the weekend, you can park at the parking lot across the street and use the ticket machine, it's much cheaper. We paid $4 for the day (maximum) and $4 for the evening (maximum). As we stayed 3 days, the amount saved added up.

Good Times

Checking in was quick and easy with the help of the friendly staff. The room was very clean, and although the view was not amazing I felt very at home. The location is pretty much perfect. It's located near lots of restaurants and just down the street from the Eaton Centre with many TTC choices. I would definately stay here again.

Poor Guest Service -

First they gave me hard time becuase I had my reservation thru [...] - in their language was a third party and prepid and they didnot care about servicing me and considering my request for a quiet room - I refrained to accept a room facing the elevator - manager got involved and promised me a quiet room. surprisingly The room was next to service elevator and ice maker maching would make a crazy noise. never go back there - unethical in promising a quiet room. Guest need to go to front desk and ask for tooth paste it takes 8 hours to get it
