great hotel, great location!

the hotel was good and dealt with issues promptly and politely. for example the room only had one king bed despite being booked for 3 people. they quickly found us another room and moved our luggage. the bar was expensive but nice atmospere. i would recommend it as it's close to the subway station and eaton centre.

GREAT location, good accommodations

My husband and I chose this hotel for our 3 day weekend with our two college age sons. The best thing about the hotel was the location for the price. The hotel was clean and the room size easily accommodated the two queen beds, sofa and desk. The hotel was VERY close to the subway which we used to go to the Steam Whistle Brewery and the Absolute Comedy club. We walked to restaurants and the Easton Center for shopping.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Walk to breakfast: Cora (on Carlton). EXCELLENT food (variety like I have never seen), generous portions, average price ($10-$12) for a big breakfast. Walk to dinner: Elephant and Castle(on Younge). Do NOT waste your money at Hoops (sports bar and grille). If you go the Absolute Comedy club ($10 show) and like Japanese / Sushi go to Sushi Rock. Good food, good prices.

Great Vacation

Nice hotel and a great location on Yonge street in downtown Toronto. The only thing I wish that was disclosed was the fact that it cost $25 CDN per day to actually park your car at the hotel.

Great Location & Nice facility

This was within walking distance with suitcases of the bus terminal, approx 6 blocks taking approx 15 minutes to walk. The room was clean, everyone very friendly and good complimentary coffee in the lobby in mornings from 6am to 10am. 4 computers to use for intervals of 20 minutes available in small business center. Can print up to 20 pages for no charge too. No microwave or fridge. Pool is small and kids in hot tub kept me out of it but nice exersize room and free weights too. I recommend it!

Sightseeing tip: Long walk from hotel

Check out the Steam Whistle Brewery by the CN tower in the historic roundhouse. Beer is a pisner and good. Free tasting (Canadian laws make selling draft difficult so they give you a free 8 oz glass on tap) and tours for as little as $10. Railroad cars on exhibit too.

Hotel was great! What I expected!

Courtyard Marriott in Toronto is the LARGEST Courtyard hotel in the world with over 550 rooms. The service at the desk is OUTSTANDING, the business center is OUTSTANDING, the breakfast in the Grille is OUTSTANDING. Let me tell you this hotel goes the extra mile for you as guest. I had a toilet blocked up called the operator and within 2 minutes the plumber was up and cleared it all up. Houskeeping did my room every morning at 10 a.m. .. perfectly clean. I needed a fridge for my wine and within 10 minutes it was there... NOW THAT IS SERVICE!!!

There is a great Japanese restaurant next to the movie cinema one block down and around the corner from the Pharmacy... Outstanding fresh seafood, chicken, beef and such CHEAPO prices.. I could not believe the quality, and quanitity of food they give you for 10 bucks.... GO THERE AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT I MEAN.THEY GIVE YOU TONS OF FREE APPETIZERS ON THE HOUSE LIKE YOU ARE THEIR LONG LOST UNCLE... GO AND SEE WHAT I MEAN.
