beautiful rooms.

loved the fact that the room gave the feel of living in a beautiful petite loft in downtown toronto. within walking distance of great markets and cafes. Design and security feature were wonderful. my only complaint would be the wireless internet service at $12 a day did not provide a reliable enough connection to even check my e-mails.

Good for business, not bad for leisure

The best aspect of this hotel is the location, right downtown with easy access to public transportation. Fast walking distance to restaurants, coffee, drug stores, ATMs, and the St. Lawrence Market. I did not try any of the amenities--didn't go to the bar or restaurant or try the spa either. So, no real cons. I thought it was a bit pricey, but you're paying for location I guess.

Front Street is a three minute walk away. There you will find coffee shops, burger joints, restaurants of any description. Also a great location right by the subway and trolley. ATM right across the street on Yonge

Hidden Gem

The location is great -- I'd never noticed it before in all my trips to Toronto; right downtown, basically at Yonge and King. Restaurants and shopping nearby, and the edge of the St Lawrence Market District (but across the street from Commerce Court, too). They offer an 8:30 pm meditation/relaxation session which I missed, but they do give you crystals and incense! Room service was friendly and quick. Lots of windows. Bed comfortable, two TVs, towels soft and absorbent but a little frayed. Good continental breakfast. Quiet, relaxing, not a lot of people around. I rated this mostly fours, not fives, which I reserve for the Four Seasons // Ritz Carlton league. Still, a great hotel I'll go back to.

Nice change from the "chain" hotels

Was greated at the desk by first and last name and was told they were upgrading my room. After opening the door, I felt at home. Nice setting, nice view and the ambiance and decor set the tone to a relaxing stay.

Great Stay!

The hotel is nice, small, and quiet. There are only 5 rooms per floor and the rooms are quite nice. We stayed in the Deluxe (480 sq ft), and really enjoyed it. The room had a nice washroom, a separate bedroom, living area with couch (not a comfortable one though) and TV, washer/dryer, and a kitchen (microwave, stovetop, mini-fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, cutlery, dishes, etc.). Each night they bring incense to the room around 8pm, as part of the turn down service. It was great being basically at Yonge St. and King St., so close to everything. Eight Wine Bar (in the lobby) is small but nice, and the service was good.

Nice place

Hotel was in a good location where you could walk to many attractions. The front desk was helpful. There are very few rooms per floor so it was fairly private and quiet. It is also close to the metro and street car
