Great Location

Nice boutique style hotel - but rooms are more like an apartment - so you feel like you're staying at home. They do need to clean their rooms or do a renovation. Bed wasn't too comfortable. Housekeeping came to clean but didn't replace hand towels or shampoo/conditioner.

Not very romantic; Photos very misleading

I am still disappointed that I didn't make a different hotel choice for celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary. Located on a side street/alley without signage, we finally found the hotel entrance. The web pictures are misleading; the 'cosmopolitan' environment was cheezy in spite of the announced upgrade we were given upon arrival. The 'suite' had a dorm room atmosphere; cheap furniture. The bedroom was very small, causing normal sized people to ā€˜inch in’ sideways to get in bed. Once outside, Yonge street was easily assessable including dining at Marche’s restaurant – my favorite. We walked to the waterfront and enjoyed the boats; dined around town, all within walking distance. Listening to The Vipers at The Rex Jazz Club was the best! We made the best of it but will never stay at the Cosmopolitan again!

Super convenient, Very comfortable.

I had a lot of meeting sin downtown and this hotel was perfect for that. Right next to the metro, right in the middle of the financial district, nice comfortable bed and super clean room. Was only there for 2 nights so did not make use of my in room kitchen. Only downside was that wireless internet is not free and was also a little slow.

Cutest boutique hotel

The hotel was fabulous our concierges were very helpful and on the money on places to go and things to do while we were in Toronto. While in Toronto we went to the Eaton center, ate at Jack Astor's, and partied on King Street. I would compare Toronto to NYC or DC, very diverse and full of young people ready to have fun and enjoy life!

You have to try Marche! Amazing place, you get a card when you walk in and they have different food stations. Food is made to order and perfectly cooked you may choose from pasta, fresh seafood, steaks, etc.

Great if you get a good price

The lobby was not as large or zen like as the pictures show, but the room was clean and relaxing. We had a corner room that had a nice wrap around balcony, but we had a view of an alley way and other surronding buildings. The incenses and relaxing meditation CD were pleasant. Parking is not included and is costly, but the valets are very quick in getting your car when you call. Also even though it advertises free Wi-Fi we found out that they do not include it if you do not book through the hotel directly. You can get it for a fee, but it is painfully slow. The staff in the lobby were always helpful with suggestions and ideas of things to do and places to eat and the best ways to get there. I loved the hotel bar and restaurant. The selections were great and the bartenders were friendly and fun. Overall if you have never been to Toronto I highly recommend it, and the Cosmopolitan is located in an excellent location to get around the city by foot or public transportation.

Good but expensive

The bedroom was clean and nicely decorated, but the space was just the size of the bed, nice kitchen and washer dryer included, but no free internet or local phone calls, overall compared to its neighborhood hotels, it is more expensive.

My wife and I had made reservations

My wife and I had made reservations at the Cosmopolitan but my wife broke her ankle a week before we were to arrive. I contacted the hotel and told them my wife is now in a wheel chair and could they accommodate her. They up-graded our room to a suite, which was much larger, at no extra charge. The staff at the Cosmopolitan is the most friendly we have ever encountered. They will go to any lengths to make your stay "a stay you will remember". We highly recommend the Cosmopolitan and will return in the future.

It was great....

Get location...I am from Toronto, and had not heard of the Cosmopolitan, but you could not ask for a better location in the city. Deep in the middle of everything, but far enought away that you wouldn't know it's there...:-)
