Okay for a standard hotel

If you are looking for just a place to rest your head, this place will work although I would not recommend for multiple nights. The beds are nothing special, really could use some extra support. The breakfast was lacking in any balance which was unfortunate. Extremely carbohydrate heavy - almost no protein options available (yogurt and hard boiled eggs only - and some peanut butter). There was plenty of food available although not enough room during peak dining hours to sit and eat in the dining room. The initial person at the front desk was not very pleasant at all. All other staff were very nice and aimed to please their clientele. It is also quite bizarre that they charge $5 more for two people from 1 when it would be expected from most that 2 people should be the base to start. Online it does base the cost on 2 to start - if you purchase at the front desk - they will charge 5 more for two people. The rate varies a lot - it would be more suitable to charge between 75-80/night instead of the 85-95 that this hotel ranged from. If I was asked to stay here again, I would really have to think about it. It was satisfactory although the price is quite dear for what you get. It is slightly better than other individually owned motels locally that only charge 56-60/night for a similar room (excluding breakfast).

Kakabeka Falls are beautiful. Be sure to bring sturdy shoes if you decide to go hiking. The walk is a bit challenging although a great experience.

Business Trip

Needed a place to stay. Other places booked. Rooms dated but they were clean, staff friendly, a basic breakfast. Some renovations being done. Good location. Good value for price. Bowling alley next door if you are looking for something to do.

wouldn't stay here again.

The first look at this hotel was scary, but the room wasn't bad, but it was the smallest hotel room I have ever seen. I could hear everything through the walls/ceiling, so not very restful. The staff was friendly. But I would not stay here again..unless my choice was an underpass. The coffee was not put out until 7 a.m. wow, I thought that was really late.
