We stayed at here as night's rest before flying out of the Sudbury airport at 5 am. We weren't expecting much and it didn't really exceed that. They are in the middle of the renovations which explains our cheap rate. It's a good thing. The carpets
in the hall smell wretched and it looks like they are about to remove them. Things in general were a bit shabby both in our room and out (old AC unit, cracked tile in the bathroom. We ate at Perkins - since it was onsite, but wished we had ventured out because the food was low quality. We swam in the pool, which was fun, but again things were a bit shabby and dated and the pool wasn't heated.
The hotel is currently under renovation, which we were not informed about when making our reservation. Housekeeping did not service our room the first morning of our five-day, prepaid stay, and when we promptly informed the front desk clerk, he
thought that was our problem, not theirs. He offered only a few clean towels and shampoo to compensate. Since we had prepaid through an online travel agency, they said there was nothing they could do.
Overall our stay wasn't bad however when we first walked in there it had smelled like someone was smoking pot. We did have a smoking room and there were burn marks right on top of the tv and in the carpet.
Also the toilet ran all night long it was
only in the morning we found out that you have to jiggle the flusher handle and put it in a perfect spot for the toilet to stop running
One last thing was the air conditioner needs to be upgraded as it doesn't work very well. It took the duration of our stay to get the room to a comfortable temperature as the temperature outside was close to 100
There was a Perkins restaurant right along side the hotel and we ate there. Our meal was fabulous.
In conclusion my next stay in Sudbury will be at a different hotel.
