It was fine
The room was fine-it looked a little worn but it did the trick. We were there when there was a hockey tournament in town and found the hotel to be really loud-kids were running up and down the hall till midnight:( That wasn't really the hotels fault but they possibly could have intervened and made sure the noise wasn't bothering other guests.

As offered. Includes free wifi and parking. Its 4 mi from downtown. Carpet and paper wall need to be renew son it can be more confortable.

Internet access was terrible
The internet service at this hotel was deplorable. Anytime between 7am and 11pm i'd be getting my secure sessions disconnected -- and I was using a wired connection, not wireless. wierless was no better. If you rely on internet don't stay here! It's like they have a 5Mbit pipe for the whole hotel to share...

Fantastic hotel
I had to be in Ottawa in for 2 nights and this hotel worked very well. There are plenty of dining options around and just in front of big shopping mall and cinemas. Room was pretty clean and property might look old. They charge 10$ per day for parking. Overall stay was good and would recommend.

So-so hotel
Hard to find at night when getting there for the first time as the sign only reads "HOTEL" (we were looking for CHIMO HOTEL) Stained carpets everywhere, musty odor, wobbly desk chair, peeled and clogged bathtub. My wife made me buy a Lysol can to deisinfect every surface before touching anything. It was the only hotel with no complimentary breakfast of all 5 that we went on our trip. At least, beds were clean, and parking was free.

1 night stay in Chimo
Hotel is ok for the price paid. Rooms are somewhat old, but clean, staff is friendly. Located close to downtown, if you drive, and next to the highway. I saw a bus stop nearby, so I guess it's easy to get to the center by public transportation as well. Cabs are pricy ~$20 to get to downtown, even though it's close. Hotel offers all you can eat breakfast buffet for extra $12, quality of food is good and it's cheaper than in diner. Free parking and Internet are also convenient.
