One unforgettable night
While staying at the Glengate Hotel, my girlfriend and i had an unbelievable time. if there is one thing i can say about it id that the rooms are VEERRRY spacious and i mean that, we never really heard any other guests which is great and the night time lobby staff they have there is just wonderful, not to mention cheerful. if there was one thing i would have changed, is the fact that there were no smoking rooms.. and walking outside for a cigarette was somewhat annoy BUT other then that i had the a blast and it is literally 15 minutes walk from the falls so it kind of gives you a chance to do a little bit of sight seeing :D i would definitely do it again...

Great Location, Good Price, Nice Staff
close distance to Niagara Falls and its attractions. $20 Dining Voucher to Tony Roma's Restaurant saved us cash on dining. Traveled in December to Niagara Falls and it was one of the best experiences ever.

Very nice stay. Recommended place.
I have been to Niagara Falls at least 50 times before and tried the Glengate Hotel [...]. I stayed in room 115 right on the first floor and facing the parking lot. The room was clean, quiet and the heater was strong, even on low setting. The bed was comfortable. The tv reception was very clear unlike many hotels in Niagara Falls. Since it was off season, things were very easy and had no problems with my stay. I will definitely stay here again. The chinese restaurant next door is open at night and the food I ate was very good. I did not venture into the narrow underground parking as it is limited to small cars and has a tiny entrance. It would be a hike from the hotel to the casinos or the falls by foot, but parking is ample.

There are great pizza places in Niagara Falls. There is Carpaccio's on Lundy's Lane (my favorite Italian food in Niagara), Napoli's on the corner of Ferry and Stanley (expensive but delicious), and a million other places. There is also the Portage Bakery just west of the Stanley & Ferry intersection. It has wonderful fresh baked breads, cookies, pastries, and a full deli. For the things you forget, there is a No Frills store on Lundy's Lane that has great prices on just about everything.

Niagra Falls Trip
I was nervous to stay here given the very reasonable price....but the accommodations were fair and the location was not that far a walk to the Falls.

Short walk from hotel
Look for deals on packages to do more than one excursion while at Niagra falls. Well worth doing The Maid of the Mist, Journey behind the falls, Fury, and the Boardwalk (class 6 rapids).

.good budget hotel
We stayed to tour Niagra Falls and found that the hotel was reasonably priced and comfortable for our needs. While there were indications that things could be better maintained, ( ie leaky roof, cracked tile) for the most part everything was liveable, and for the price I was very happy with it

Not a truthful discription
1. This hotel is not new. There appear only to be some updates. 2. The continental breakfast is not free. They charge $3.99 plus tax. 3. There was no wifi for the first full day. 4. The falls are a 25 minute walk at least, not "just steps"... 5. The Peking Restaurant next door is closed down. 6. Other reviewers mentioned the small entrance to the garage (true), however, ice near the lobby is accessable.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
There is a buffet restaurant, "AlMac", a little ways south of the hotel at Ferry and Stanley. OK breakfast for a few bucks more, but coffee is $2.99. Tim Hortons is a few blocks north.
