One night in Niagara Falls
We spent one night at the Sterling Inn and were pleasantly surprised by the size of our room (large) and amenities, which included a gas fireplace, enormous shower with body jets and steam and free parking. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The walk to the falls was easy--just a few blocks. All in all a great place. We didn't get a chance to try to restaurant, but hopefully will on another visit.

Niagara Hotel
The downtown area in Niagara Falls, Ontario was a shocker to us: tattoo parlors, fast food restaurants, blaring music out of almost every store, hippies galore - a total disappointment. However when one approaches the FALLS it was a different story. Beautifully laid out parks and viewing areas with a promenade from opposite the American Falls to the Horseshoe Falls. The American side of Niagara falls is much more subtle and laid back, although the best area is just out of town on the way to and in Niagara-at-the-Lake!!!!! The area is full of wineries (Eiswein), and our concierge was so sweet to hand us a couple of complimentary tasting coupons. The STERLING INN has large rooms, offers breakfast in bed, and is generally a fine place to stay away from the noisy center of town which one can circumvent by walking other streets to the Falls.- Unfortunately the hotel had no knowledge or record of the reservation change we had made [...], AND WE WERE LUCKY THAT THE HOTEL WAS NOT FULLY BOOKED. Our room was sort of noisy by means of the A/C or a compressor supplying the floor of the hotel.

Extremely nice hotel
The bed was huge, just a little hard for me, but husband loved if. Shower was so huge and plenty of hot water. The breakfast in bed could have been a little better, but still good. Good location, away from the hustle and bustle, but still close to the action. It's deceiving from the outside though, but high class all the way on the inside. Would definitely stay there again!

Great stay with one Exception
I thought the location was great; you just have to walk about two block to reach the restaurants and other attractions. There's about a ten minute walk to view the falls (near the Maid of the Mist). I really enjoyed the amenities. The room decor was pleasing to the eye, and the bed was comfortable. Also, because it warrants mentioning: [...] the concierge is very, very hospitable and helpful. My only complaint is the noise. It is very noisy. I am far from a light sleeper so I didn't have a hard time sleeping, but my roommate did. She complained that she had a difficult time sleeping because she heard people walking in the hallways and the floorboards creak, which is true. If you are not sensitive to noise, I would 100% recommend this hotel. Oh, and don't forget that check-in is at four pm. I was warned so I shouldn't complain, but it was really a pain not to be able to get a room earlier considering I wanted to take advantage of my vacation by arriving early. They did hold onto my luggage for me so I could at least leave the hotel until my room was ready.

Sterling-A good experience
Sterling Inn and Spa is surely a good hotel to stay in. Even though the outside is not very impressive, the rooms are really spacious and comfortable. The breakfast in bed is a very unique concept and both me and my wife liked it.(the only problem was the limited menu and not too much choice for a vegetarian person there). The only other problem is the check in times, which is 4.00PM. I did not find the hotel staff very flexible on that front. I reached there at 2.00PM but was not given a room till 4.00PM. Rest, the hotel was fantastic. Avoid going to Niagara during May as the rains can spoil all the fun.

Romantic Wknd Getaway
My husband and I were married just a few months ago, and although we took an amazing 2wk Hawaii honeymoon vacation, we kept itching to get away again. We are very busy medical students in our mid-20s, and just really needed some time off to get away and relax together. Since his 26th b-day is coming up on May 6th, I decided it was the perfect time to plan it. Well it just so happened we randomly got a Fri off from a rotation in mid-April, and we decided it was fate and that it would have to take place a little earlier than planned. We live in NYC and I was looking for a place where we could drive or take a very short flight (I hate when traveling takes up most of your vacation, hardly gives you any time to relax & enjoy yourself). After searching around, I settled on Niagara Falls, and decided we would drive there and back.I began researching the best hotels in that area. First I was choosing whether we would stay on Niagara Falls or in a small, romantic town nearby called Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOTL). Once I chose Niagara Falls, it was choosing whether to stay in a hotel facing the falls or in Sterling Inn & Spa, just a street off the main promenade where people view the falls. When looking into the top 10 bed and breakfast spots on NOTL, I saw they were just as expensive as any hotel on the actual Niagara falls strip and was kind of surprised, but decided to look further into it anyway. Well, the top ones were all booked so I said, fine forget it bc all others that weren't considered some of "the best", in terms of reviews, were the same price anyway! In general, you'd think a B&B would be cheaper, but it definitely was not in this area (I read they have up to 350 B+Bs in this little town!!!)Then I juggled b/w Sheraton, a jacuzzi room w an incredible view, or Hilton, same type of room. And then in my search I bumped into Sterling Inn and Spa, and saw it had great reviews. Then I saw that it had free parking, which a great thing in Niagara Falls, I was reading that if we stayed at a fallsviews hotel we'd be paying around 18-20 bucks a day, which multiplied by 3 is pretty expensive. Then I noticed the COMPLIMENTARY breakfast in bed... I thought, wow, brownie pts. Then I saw that it was 25% off on [...], and was totally sold... I booked it that night.Well, Sterling Inn & Spa in Niagara Falls was a wonderful choice. We booked a deluxe room for Fri and Sat nights on April 15th +16th. They do not guarantee whether your deluxe room will have a jacuzzi or a steam shower, so beware of that. I called the hotel, thinking well maybe I can secure a jacuzzi suite. So the guy said, I will put in a request, and we process them in the order they are received. A hint- the only way to ensure u get the jacuzzi room is to book DIRECTLY through the hotel itself. But I wouldn't have done that anyway bc the 25% off through [...]brought the price for the 2night stay from over $400 to $325. If there's no discount, def call them if you have your heart set on any specifics. We got there around 4pm, right at check-in time, and the concierge was very polite and took us to our room to show us all its amenities. I was pleased that we got a jacuzzi suite, room 116. He showed us how the jacuzzi and shower work. And reminded us about our breakfast-in-bed, for which a form had to be filled by 8pm and hung on the outside doorknob. One thing I didn't like- he didn't even offer to help with our bags. Granted we had only a couple of small ones bc it was only for the wknd, but nonetheless, he should have asked. The fact that the suite had hardwood floors was a nice touch. Makes it feel luxurious. Breakfast in bed, arriving right on time, was amazing. (you must choose a time slot between 7-10am in 15min intervals, 7-7:15, 7:15-7:30 etc till 9:45-10am, you check one off). The breakfast is def enough to fill you up for the next few hrs: it consisted of a choice of a carafe of coffee or tea for two, apple or orange juice; the rest was not a choice, it included: 2 fruits...
