March Break One Night Stay

I have stayed at the Skyline numerous times and have never been disappointed. It is a great location, closest to the waterpark. Kid friendly. But man, never stayed during a holiday and wow it was BUSY!!!! Also I havent had a first floor room before and it was VERY noisy and hard to get to sleep. Any noise on the second floor room above us could be heard. But I will still go back, just request a second floor room!

Short trip to the Falls

After reviewing the comments by others we decided to give it a shot, after all it was for only two night. We couldn't have been more pleased. Maybe it was the time of year (not being congested and all) but we all enjoyed the hotel and area. We have visited the Falls several times and this was the best place to stay by far. My only thought is they could offer a complimentary breakfast for their visitors.

Clean hotel and convenient location

Clean hotel, good size fridge and convenient location-the main objectives i needed. Parking is extremely costly and having a microwave would of been great since it is a family based hotel (water park). Oh blow dryer needs to be updated to this century!

skyline kudos

skyline inn has always been great. rebecca and the other young guys and gals at front desk staff are considerate and helpful to everyone even after thousands of guests. Mei in housekeeping was totally thoughtful. our kids really enjoy their evening kids´ movie in the atrium . fallsview waterpark staff was more hit and miss this time around. youthful staff were inredbibly capable, mature, and thoughtful during our first stay. there seems to have been turnover. also, the big wave pool was out of order our entire stay and the splash pad - beach hut was off for a long while too which is two thirds of the park ! i would never complain but fallsview should consider some kind of rebate or compensation for that magnitude and duration of reduced availability.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

the 3 percent niagara tourism tax added to everything is a complete hassle. tourists are never told it is added every time and NOT mandatory. a friendly native told us during our first stay and it was a huge help everywhere we went. it really adds up! but the snack bar staff at the waterpark now say they can´t deduct it from the automated register. the hotel claimed the same this time around because we did not book with their system. it sounds fairly lame. every establishment all had to take out their little calculators to refund from their own systems anyway regardless. snack bar staff, not skyline, behaved abnormally at best after mention of this tax. many act like tourists are evil if they stop being easy and mindless marks. it is impossible to compare prices if 3 percent will only be refunded under varying conditions for every part of the trip. for modest budgets still trying to provide a half decent life for our little kids, this has a real impact.

Great Hotel

The first thing I noticed when I got there was that the Water Park was closed due to upgrades for 2 weeks, this didn't bother us as we didn't go there for that, however I never saw anything stating this on here or the hotels website that was obvious to the fact. (Like I said I wasn't looking either). One complaint is parking, it cost with tax $25 for 2 nights & there is only 75 parking spaces for a 200 roomed hotel, so you have to park in the multi-level by the casino. The room was very clean & fresh & I have never stayed in a hotel that provides many towels, your normally luck to get a a couple of face clothes, bath & hand towels, but here they had an abundance. No TV though, all internet TV, I wasn't sure if there was a charge associated with it, but just do what we did & bring a laptop with an HDMI cable & hook it up for netflix or anything you have downloaded. Worked for us, seeing as one day it was raining & we just sat in & watched films. If you want to stay near Clifton Hill then a great location, if you are a club person then you are best to stay the other side by FallsView Casino as it is a very long walk.

Skyline

The Skyline is perfectly located for going to the indoor waterpark, connected to it. It was a good hotel. However, I paid $98 in June and $157 in August!

Friendly place for travelers with 4 kids!

It is always great to find accommodations that do not require you to upgrade to a suite or get two adjoining rooms when traveling with your children. This hotel had a room with two queen beds and bunk beds that sleep 3 kids. This was great for us as we have 4 kids and no one felt too squished together or left with limited sleeping choices. Our kids didn't want to leave. And with the waterpark accessible directly from our floor, we decided to add another day to our trip (4 nights instead of 3) to take full advantage of our vacation to the Falls.
