Terrible noise insulation
JL Nov 29, 2009
Great location, reasonably good service, clean rooms. However, you need to be able to put up with noise from the hallway and ... other rooms. There is virtually no insulation from the noise next door and the along the hallway. As the hotel also takes pets, that does not make for peace and quiet. Also note that parking is reasonably priced ($15 / day - self parking), but it is a good 5 mins walk to the garage, under cover. Additionally, if you feel you're getting a great deal on the room rates, set your expectations real low with regards to the view you will get looking out the your room window. In my case, I managed to get an "upgrade". Instead of looking out to a brick wall, 5 - 10 feet away, I got a partial brick wall, with the other half looking onto a roof top. They call these the "Traditional" rooms. Services was good, but the concierge probably needs a little training around being a concierge.

Classy hotel in a prime spot!!!
First time in Niagara Nov 1, 2009
The Falls area is very "touristy" but this hotel is a great way to be in the middle of the excitement but still stay ... relaxed. My wife and I had a great time and enjoyed all of the amenities the hotel had to offer! Breakfast was great in the dining room overlooking the falls.

Thoroughly enjoyed our room on 19th floor falls view side of hotel We had a wonderful king bed with a working fireplace, but ... the view was spectacular of both the American Falls and the Canadian Falls. We even could open the glass door facing the Falls, it had thick black grates waist high so you couldn't fall out. The fall folliage was terrific and the night illumination of the falls was beautiful. We loved it!!!!!

Side trip to Niagra from NY
Couple with toddler Oct 25, 2009
Great location, easy walking distance to falls. Loved the convenience of starbucks in lobby - easy place to get milk/fruit ... for toddler. Very limited dining options in the area. Flew into Buffalo Airport, took buffalo express shuttle - driver very knowledgeable, efficient, would highly recommend. Definitely enjoyed Maid of Mist from NY side.

cpabiker Oct 22, 2009
The view from our room was spectacular and awe inspiring. The fireplace was a nice touch as well. You should stay at this ... hotel if you are going to visit the falls or for the touristy kids attractions that are within a stones throw. The casino is older and small compared to the new one but it is ok. The hotel concierge was not helpful at all at making recommendations or acquiring show tickets.

Sheraton has a great view of both falls and being located along Clifton Hill puts it in the perfect location for walking to ... all the major attractions. The Maid of the Mist is a short 5 minute walk. The bath tub was not very deep and for the cost you would think it would include a jet tub. The room was spotless and would stay at this hotel again.

Great location and view of the falls. Nice Starbucks downstairs. The first room we got, the view was blocked by an outside ... wall, but it was changed quicky. And we had the do not disturb sign on our door when we went to breakfast but when we came back our room was clean! Weird but not a big issue.

Horrible hideous place. When I checked in they had only one room left. Not only did it not have a Falls View it did not even ... have a window! At the Niagara Falls! We arrived lat at night with young children who were terribly upset and they would not allow us to cancel or change. Never never again.

Autumn at Sheraton on the Falls, Niagara
PMD Oct 12, 2009
The hotel is well located for viewing the American and Horseshoe Falls, for me this was possible from the windows of my ... room. It is also close to the bridge for pedestrian access to the USA to view the falls from the USA side. Staff in the Fallsview restaurant were helpful and friendly, and the food was usually of good quality, though not inspirational. Cleaning staff were diligent, though inconspicuous.

Went on a tour and it was great. It should have a whirlpool for the cost of this hotel. Gift basket was overpriced. It ... shouldn't be there to make a huge profit, more for convenience of the guests. A little over cost, not triple. Overall location was very good. Better directions or better sign out front. It was hard to find the first time there. Once there, it was easy.

The Grayline tour was well worth it! Among the main stops are the Observation deck, the Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds/Hurricane Deck (this was better than the Journey behind the Falls on the Canadian side, where you go through a tunnel that takes you to two openings about the size of a door, and all you see is water falling outside this door-size opening. You pretty much get the same experience by opening your door when it's raining very very hard outside!).
--remembrance, Houston, TX Aug 23, 2009
The hotel is in the center of all of the action. In the height of tourist season, the area is very crowded with international visitors who, to be kind, lack everyday courtesies we take for granted (e.g., walking four wide down the side walk, stopping in a bottle-neck to fuss with their phone, letting their small children run amok untended, etc). If you can suffer this sort of thing gladly, you will be OK; if not, wait until tourist season is over.
