The staff experience, was what made it!
I took advantage of a PD Day, which brought us into the end of the week; great deal for the room. What surprised us the most, is our request for the modest courtyard room, turned into a Fallsview room at no extra cost! The staff were extremely personable. We have stayed at higher end accommodations in the past, and the staff were courteous and professional, but this experience, was warm and friendly. The sauna, had unfortunately been painted; but it must happen at some point. Ample towels, parking was at a cost of $15, though it was brought to our attention, that we can park all day at a couple other locations. Your room key may be required to swipe to gain access to parking. Meals, were to be expected, city prices. We had a great stay, few people..we had exhibits and a ride, all to ourselves! I wish that there were opportunities for families with less than four members. The deals that you can get are great, but we would end up with two extra passes at each destination. Our family downsized, but our budget did not increase.

Birthday outing
We were looking for a decent hotel and not trying to spend a ton of money, so we decided on the oaks. When we arrived it was a nice location, on a strip of hotels, restaurants, and the fallsview casino. Applebees located at the front door. Rooms were very nice, besides the bottoms of the walls in the bathroom were a little warped. Stayed on 7th floor, fallside, the view was incredible, could see niagara falls allday and at night after they turned the lights on. Was a little far from Clifton Hill, the street of fun, but was just a short ways away, too cold to walk so had to drive. Overall it was a nice location, hotel, and stay.

great for low amenities but great view
This place does not have all the bells and whistles as a fancy place. The price is well worth it. Great View nice room great price. Great hotel if your looking for a place to rest your head at night and look at the falls. If your going to spend your vacation staying in the hotel this hotel sucks

Pay for the Upgrade
Don't go for the cheap rooms. Pay for the upgrade. For the extra money, you get a view of the falls. It's 10 times better, and your spouse will be happier.

Room with a view
We stayed in a fallsview jacuzzi room on the ninth floor in the corner on the side viewing the Embassy Suites. The view was amazing! Since we were in the corner we had a view of both falls (American and Canadian) from the main rear window and could also view the Canadian falls from the side window. Other than the view, however, this hotel was just ok. Last time we visited Niagara we stayed next door at the Embassy and the hotel overall was a better stay. I guess the bottom line is you really do get what you pay for. We sacrificed a lot of amenities for the price, but were really there for the view so it was a nice stay. Probably the biggest dissapointment was that the jacuzzi was in the bathroom and doubled asthe tub. I envisioned a jacuzzi that could be sat in while enjoying the view.

Housekeeping was knocking the door for 3 times even though we requested for 12 noon checkout! That was kind of unnormal! They knocked ithe door between 8-10 am... Please inform housekeeping if a guest asked for late check out! I have stayed in enough hotel... Never happened... Now I have experienced in Oakes!
