SPECTACULAR
Fr. Michael Nov 11, 2009
I wanted to treat my elederly parents to a special time at the Falls, so I decided to splurge a little and book a room with a ... view of the Falls at the Mariott. The view was SPECTACULAR, and our stay couldn't have been a better experience. All things considered, it was not outrageously expensive given the quality. Definitely, my first choice for Niagara Falls!

Very nice Hotel
PD Nov 10, 2009
We arrived to the hotel early and they had a room ready for us. We got the falls view, and the lower the number the better ... the view is. The cost was resonable. There is a nice lounge that overlooks the falls and great prices on food and drinks. There is also a very nice walkway that leads to the skyway which is 2 dollars per person to get you down to the falls. The only downfall was we got room service and that food was not worth the cost.

Fantastic View but High Price ISP and TV
Deb Nov 5, 2009
The room was nice, the staff was friendly and polite, the location was excellent. Mom and I went to see Niagara Falls and ... escape the hot weather. We drove to Niagara on the Lake and shopped at Kurtz Orchard. Restaurants charged about DOUBLE what they cost in USA. Marriott charges $10 for a 24 oz bottle of bottled water! $20 to use the internet for 24 hours! I won't stay there again because of the ISP and TV prices. I paid a lot for the room and these should have been included like they are at most other hotels nearby. Bed and Breakfasts look like they are worth looking into though they don't have the view of the falls. Go the first or second week of October for best foliage. Apply for your passport 6 weeks in advance.

Niagra Falls with Children
Robbie Milam Oct 31, 2009
This trip was GREAT! Unfortunately, the hotel staff was confused as to the difference of "Sale" and currency conversion. ... When I booked our $500 + tours I was told that they were on sale! If I paid upon check out with Cash I would receive an additional 20% discount. NOT SO!!!!!! Hotel staff basically said "Oh well." I would stay at the hotel again but I would never charge anything to the room as the price is not what is quoted.

Romantic Getaway Girl Oct 25, 2009
We booked a room with two queen beds with a full falls view and upgraded to a King bed Jacuzzi suite upon arrival. The room ... was recently updated and was very clean. The view was fabulous, we had an excellent view of the Horseshoe Falls and could get a pretty good view of the American falls as well.

We ate at T.G.I Fridays just next door and were shocked to see that the prices were three times what you would pay locally in the states and the food was not fresh. Very disappointed. We also ate at the Keg and were very satisfied, the food was excellent and so was the view of the falls.

The goods: Staff were pleasant enough. Room was beautiful. Beds were very comfortable. The quibbles: The falls-view room ... didn't have a very good view of the falls. No sugar or sweetener in the coffee service in the room. Booked a 'mini-fridge' but was given a room with a 'bar fridge' that we needed the key to access. The bads: We couldn't access the internet because we were given the wrong pin several times and made to feel that it was our fault. My husband works for a technology company and is on call if there are any issues that arise, so he really needed internet access. He was called and ended up having to access everything via his i-Phone. We had better service at a budget hotel that was 1/4 the price last time we stayed at the falls. And even though this wasn't the hotel's fault, the people in the room adjacent partied until 4am. I was woken up at 8am by the sounds of them throwing up. Just what I wanted to hear over the sound of the falls, first thing in the morning after having gotten no sleep.

My wife and I had a great time at this hotel. The staff is very kind and helpful. The room was very nice and clean. The view ... to the falls is amazing! The only thing that we did not like was the parking garage, been two blocks away from the hotel. Unless you have enough cash to pay for Valet parking everytime you come out of your room, you'll probably wont enjoy this as much.

Great trip after rough beginning
travelers Sep 27, 2009
Arrived at hotel, went to check in and only 1 room was available of the two that were reserved side by side and adjoining ... which were prepaid. After we returned at 5:30pm (2 1/2 hours after scheduled check in time) the front desk told us we would not have our reserevation honored as the previous room occupants did not leave (which there checkout time was to be noon), the desk clerk was very unhelpful saying that we only had a request that they only need to try to honor. Hotel tried to move us down to lower grade rooms and we told them that was unacceptable, asked to speak to a manager and the manager was informed we needed to speak to her, we waited approx 20 mins and no mgr came to see us - had to go to the desk and ask to speak to her again. The manager on duty said a reservation is only a request - told her we reserved thru Orbitz 2 months ago with the the above noted specifics and this was all setup, only after mentioning Orbitz was she willing to help, actually all of a sudden we got upgraded to the 12th floor with side by side rooms - they were not adjoining as planned but atleast they were side by side and she also waived our parking fees. This turned out to be great customer service but only after it became a pressured issue. After all this, the hotel stay was very nice and the facility is well kept and the views are outstanding, but I need to now if a reservation is only deemed as a request, if someone from orbitz can let me know this I would appreciate it as we plan to use Orbitz in the future. Please reply.......note the Orbitz staff that set up our vacation trip did a great job......

Fantastic weekend get away
Relaxing Ron Aug 26, 2009
If you live on the east coast and you are looking for a quick get away the "Falls" is ideal. The hotels was in walking ... distance to lots of eating places and other fun activities or take the complimentary shuttle to the Falls. I would not however, purchase the power pass, if you are staying on the Canadian side. The pass is only for activities on the American side and it's a pain going back and forth. The American side has a lot to do for children, but the Canadian side has a better view of the "Falls" and just as many fun activities.

World explorers Aug 16, 2009
Hotel has great views, if you are on the falls side. Otherwise, not worth the money. Mandatory valet parking @ approx $23 a ... night (includes taxes, but not tips). With our Orbit package, no breakfast included. Small pool and small workout area. Kids (wet from pool)were also in very small gym that was unmanned. Valet service left our rental car (unattended) with windows rolled down and keys left in ignition (although they resolved the issue when we happened to see the car and complained.) Overall, expected a little more from a 4-star Mariott hotel. If we ever returned to the area, would stay at the Fallsview Casino Resort (nicer facility with more amenities and grounds were immaculate).

We stayed in the Marriott and they offered a five hour tour of all of Niagara Falls had to offer. We went to the Butterfly Conservatory, The Flower Clock, Maid of the Mist, Journey Behind the Falls and took in some other attractions during the bus trip. They also gave us tickets to go see an IMax movie, to go see Niagara's Fury (kind of like you ride the movie) and tickets to go on a Rapid's walk. (You can see the worlds most dangerous class 6 rapids)
--Niagara Fall's Marriott, Livingston, NJ Jul 30, 2009
We only had one full day so we took a tour. Well worth the money to see all the major attracations.
--Traveling from Toledo, San Francisco, CA Jul 22, 2009
Get the Adventure Pass - it includes tickets to the major attractions. If you do it on your own, use the People Mover bus and Incline Railway to get around. And don't be afraid to ask for help - everyone is very friendly. The bus/shuttle drivers know EVERYTHING!!
--Husband & Wife, Miami, FL Jun 17, 2009
Do NOT take the 'Power Pass' if Orbitz offers it to you. You're staying in Canada, the 'Power Pass' has to be picked up in the U.S. Get the Canadian 'Adventure Pass'. So much better. All the transportation's included, with much less walking. As compared to our extra 6 or so miles of walking!!

The Skylon Restaurant and the Terrapin.
--Juana, Miami Jun 15, 2009
If you want to get closer to the falls, I recommend getting the Niagara Parks Adventure Pass. In addition to providing discounted rates on local attractions such as the Maid of the Mist, Journey Behind the Falls, and White Water Walk, it also provides two days of transportation on the People Mover bus and use of the incline railway. The incline railway will be a lifesaver if you plan on making several trips down to the falls because without it, the walk is very long and tiring.

Save 100.00+ per couple by buying the adventure pack(40.00) and a bus/incline pass combo(7.50)and doing the tour on your own through out the day, instead of buying the tour they offer at the hotel desk, plus you will get coupons for other attractions. you can buy them by going out the side door next to the gift shop and going to the incline.
