good for the price
The location is good. Its at the top of the hill of the main strip down to the falls. The sheets in the room were stained. Unless you stay in the suites, there is no view. Its an average hotel overall at best.I'll stay somewhere else next time.

Hallways are sadly in need of cleaning
Hotel rooms ok, average, bathrooms small, wanted a disabled room did not get. Foyer very clean but hallways sticky and very dirty. Breakfast could be better. Very cheap stuff given for breakfast. Staff ok. It was close to the Canadian-falls.

Quick two night getaway
Hotel was very close to everything and all within walking distance. The hotel lobby was nice, staff were friendly, but the room was not so nice. We were on the 2nd flr in a corner and we felt like we were in a closet. Very musty smell which went away when air conditioner was finally functioning properly. Wall paper coming off walls, hair dryer was completly off the wall and sitting on sink top. Never used it. It was not a room you wanted to stay in very long. We used it to sleep and get out. I would not stay here again.

Normally positive
Okay except for the surprises!
The rooms were okay for the dollar, what wasn't okay was the $5.00 fee for parking my vehicle, and additional $1.00 I had to pay because I paid in US Dollars. Had it not been too late to cancel my reservation when I found these little tid bits I would have cancelled and gone to a place that is more up front with the charges one can expect to pay. Booking on line was there excuse for me not being informed of the additional parking fee. Lame excuse. The dollar for paying in US currency is plain highway robbery.

Minimal but acceptable, you get what you pay for.
Overall the staff is friendly and accomodating. The location to the falls is convienient. The room itself does have everything that the web site advertises, and is clean, but is very very small. As an example the TV is mounted above the closet and can only be viewed in bed. Only one chair at the desk and if someone else moves in the room you would have to move to allow passage. You get what you pay for.

Great place if you are watching your budget or going for a short stay. You would not want to spend more than a couple of days at this hotel. It is more for a sleep and leave.

Not Bad for the Price
We booked online so I didn't know what to expect. It seemed like a real deal for the price but when we arrived the attendant at the front desk automatically upgraded us because he said we wouldn't be pleased with the room we'd booked (apparently it was really small and would have been uncomfortable). They didn't have to do that... I was also under the impression that the rooms had jacuzzi's but that also was an upgrade, but only $25. The room was nicely designed, new amenities but it had an odor. I think they washed the carpet but didn't change the water. We bought some Febreeze and all was well.

Mediocre hotel- good location
We were surprised that the room was so small and smelled like stale cigarette smoke. The room was stuffy and the air conditioner was old and noisy. That being said, the hotel was a good price and in a great location- one block up from the glitter of Clifton Hill and an easy walk from the falls. So we didn't need to worry about parking, because we never moved the car after we checked in. The staff was friendly and helpful and even let us check in early. The free continental breakfast was good quality with many options- we went early and it did look like it got pretty busy later in the morning.

Awesome Location but Bad Service
The location was nice, only had to walk about 10 minutes to the falls. If you took your car and you came back to the hotel late, it is very hard to find a parking lot since its free. We were worried we had to park on the street. The staff were nice to let us park 15 minutes parking for the night. The toilet did not flush all that great. It got clogged up several times. The bed is a little uncomfortable since the mattress is hard. I am hard of hearing and have to use closed caption to watch TV. Well, they reprogrammed the channel as a menu so I could not turn on the closed caption on my own. I had to call someone to turn it on me so they can switch it back to normal programming. Why do I have to call someone to turned on the closed caption? They should not used the caption button for something else.

Great Location/price, easy walk to Falls
Friendly staff, very economical, clean, well maintained, rooms. Breakfast was well presented but lacked fruits and any kind of protein sourses such as hard boiled eggs or yogurt. Juice despenser failed during breakfast eliminating all juice sources.
