Courtyard by Marriott St. John's Newfoundland

Hotel staff were friendly and the room was fabulous. We have stayed multiple times in downtown St. John's but this was the best. [...]

we were given an upgrade to a king suite but found it to be very drab with small window on first floor which is 3 floors below lobby. The hotel is at a good location with walking distance to Signal Hill and downtown Water St. The staff was friendly. The onsite restaurant is nothing special. I find it is overpriced for the room you get compared to other hotels in the area

Really enjoyed the stay at the Courtyard. Very friendly staff. Only 2 things kept me from making it a perfect place to stay. 1. Insufficient parking. Small parking lot across the busy street would fill up and had to park on the street somewhere else or down the hill in a gravel lot and lug bags up the hill. 2. The view was great, but you had to stand up to see it. The designer of the hotel should have made floor to ceiling windows. I would suggest also a continental breakfast be included. The attached Smitty's was inconisistent. Sometimes good food, othertimes, not so much.

Nice and clean hotel but not as well equipped as other Marriotts I have visited. There was a small but modern gym but no pool or spa. There is also a laundry room and a restaurant on site. In room free internet is not wireless. Parking is free but limited. The staff was helpful and friendly. The views from the harbour rooms are well worth the upgrade if you don't mind some noise. Good value at the right price.

would have liked some sort of pocket door or temp.privacy door between bedroom. traveling with elderly Mother and would have liked to shut it temporarily at times. Same suite setup at different hotels with a door on them. Location was superb and view was superb. All else was excellent. STaff was very nice. Buffet breakfast would do better if priced a few dollars less, (like $12 or @13.99) Noticed a lot of people ordering off the menu as there is only so much a person can eat.
