Blackcomb Lodge is located in the heart of the village & a perfect location. It is an easy walk to the gondola each morning (even carrying skis). There are plenty of restaurants near by + a liquor & grocery store next door. The lodge has
underground parking available ($16 per night). There is an indoor pool and hot tub (without jets). The only down side is noise from the village square (not a fault of the hotel) - but can be annoying when you are trying to get some sleep & can hear music & party goers till 2am (ask for a room on the backside of the hotel - or at least on the 2nd Floor).
Great location and value. Price was excellent for the area and accommodations. (although parking was not included with cost of hotel) Within walking distance of most all major attractions. Great place to stay for a long duration, with all the
comforts of home.
Not bad if you request to be on the quiet side. Wifi worked for about 2 seconds. Clean rooms in decent shape. Would stay here again if it was cheap and I was sure I could stay on the quiet side of the building.
The hotel room was sufficiently stocked and looked updated, however our primary goal was to get a good night sleep and this did not happen. The first room sounded like an echo chamber from the frivolity at the bar outside ( closes at 2 am in
off-season and 4 am in-season). After asking to switch rooms, our new room had a loud low pitch droning sound. In the morning, at the checkout desk, we recognized the vibration and sound but even louder, and it was literally shaking the floor. The attendant attributed it to the boiler downstairs. Perhaps the location is best for those who would like to be at the bar until 4 am, because sleeping isn't in the cards.
