Forget about it.
Hotel was dated, with rooms upgraded to run of the mill. There was major construction that we weren't told about. It forced us to exit through the garage, which was dark and almost impossible to find We were upgraded to a one room suite, but could still hear jack hammers. The staff seemed to be college students that were only half engaged. Overall a clean convenient location, but not much of a experience.

Romantic Getaway
The hotel was a pleasant surprise nestled in Victoria Harbour, the only hotel located directly on the waterfront. They were booked solid bc of the Dragon Boat Festival going on all weekend so we couldn't get an upgrade but we did have a very nice standard "King Room" w/good towels, robes & linens, puffy pillows & down comforter, well stocked fridge & good in-room coffee! Nice continental breakfast provided free in a charming nook of the hotel overlooking the bay. Courteous & helpful Front Desk & staff. Beautiful & well maintained entrance and foyer. Great price! Victoria Regent made our visit a memorable experience!

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Chinatown has lots of great places to eat inexpensively. Don Mee's dim sum was excellent but get there early! Fort Street has many ethnic eateries (bakeries, Sushi & Pho Noodle shops, Indian & Greek) with good food @ good prices. Bubble Tea is a must try! (watch out for the new 12% sales tax).

Great location for an awesome city!!
This hotel is very clean and has a great location within walking distance of downtown Victoria. We were located right on the water and we could watch the float planes take off and land. The included breakfast was plentiful and fantastic and was served in a cozy room with a great view of the harbor. There was even an option to have breakfast delivered to the room, if desired. The hotel offered free high-speed internet and free parking. Some guests have complained about the noise from the float planes, but the hotel stocks each room with ear plugs. I am a heavy sleeper, and had no problems. My wife is a very light sleeper and she also had no complaints. Neither of us used the ear plugs. We never heard noise from other guests. We loved walking right out the front door to shopping, restaurants, and bars. So many great options in this city, unfortunately we did not stay longer. We would highly recommend visiting the Craigdarroch Castle and taking tea at the Fairmont Empress. We also visited the Butchart Gardens and the Sea Cider Farm and Ciderhouse, both worth the visit.
