Very short 2 block drive from the Moho Ferry (vehicle transport ferry from Washington state) to this ultra clean hotel. We (3 adults and 2 infants) stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. Short 5 minute walk to Parliament Building, Inner Harbor and the start
of tourist shopping area.
Front desk staff was cordial but not useful for identifying things not to miss or good non-tourist restaurants (may have been college students??). Skip this hotel's restaurant (most every guest did) and try the downtown ones. Recommendation: Exit hotel, walk 1 block towards the water, and eat at the restaurant on the right side of the street (their Sea Bass is awesome).
Best way to describe the hotel is super clean and quiet but with zero personality. Didn't see very many guests during our entire stay. Fitness Center was empty... My guess is others stayed at the Empress Hotel or one of the others closer to the downtown section of Victoria that have history and architecture personality to them or the very inexpensive ones east of downtown shopping area.
Don't miss the bell tower near the museum that plays music each hour (gift from the Dutch queen), and the totem pole park behind the museum. Tourist shopping is above average for a cruise line stop and extends to a Chinatown section (easy walk from hotel).
Note: the cruise ships come in Thursdays so skip the downtown shopping and drive north on the island to see the neighborhoods and coastlines... This island is very beautiful when you get away from the tourist areas.

Short walk from hotel
Stay away from shopping areas when the multiple Cruise lines come into port on Thursdays. Very overcrowded.
