A 2 Star Hotel at a 5 Star price
Cleanliness is an issue. We rented a suite with kitchen facilities. Food was stuck on the silverware, the shelf with the dishes had a grimy film. We pre-washed all the dishes we thought we were going to use. The bathroom floors were dirty. And, we ran out of hot water at 8:30 am. Needless to say - we checked out early.

Week end in Victoria
We were traveling with our 26 yr old daughter and booked a suite. We "assumed" that there would be a door between front room and rear room. NOT! If she was watching a different show on TV the sounds were competing. Also motel is not as close to down town as you would believe. Not in my walking distance anyway.

Good Place but
noise in the wall all night, kept my wife awake.Because we bought tickets thru [...] no refund, but they did give us coupon for $20 food, the breakfast was good

Convenient and Clean
The Sandman Hotel in Victoria was clean and easy to find. When we arrived it was late at night and the front desk person was not at his post when we arrived. We had to wait 15 minutes before he returned. There was no indication of where he/she was and when to expect him to return. Upon his return, he was very friendly to myself and daughter and was most efficient in our check-in process. We were upgraded and hotel check out was just as efficient. The only real draw back was upon our arrival, the parking lot was full with nightclub patrons and finding parking was not easy.

Clean and near downtown
Our stay at the Victoria Sandman hotel was the last stop on our get away. The Sandman was a bit of a disappointment. Not to say there was anything wrong with it, but since it was the most expensive we expected more. If you are looking for a clean hotel near downtown with free secure parking this is your place.
