Excellent Choice
Staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived a little before check in time, but that was no issue. They do require that you use valet parking.

Hashbrown
The bed and pillows were the only best part
The down sides: Check in wasn't great as we didn't get the sized bed we asked for when we made reservations. Room was smaller than I anticipated and the bathroom was disappointing for size as well. The maid service could have been better. Continental breakfast wasn't even worth going downstairs for, so we went out instead. The upside was the bed and pillows! Fantastic!!!! Prime restaurant for dinner our first night was wonderful. Over all, I wouldn't claim this to be a luxury boutique hotel. It's nice, but not worth the five star rating it receives.. The Wedgewood Hotel in Vancouver on the other hand is pure magic in comparison!

In Hotel
Lunch isn't worth eating there. Service was poor (only one waitress in the noon rush hour and this was during the labor day weekend!) You get better service and food in Prime for dinner.

First rate classy hotel
If you want to be downtown and have access to all amenities of Victoria this is the hotel for you. The Magnolia Hotel is top drawer. I stay at hotel's often for business. This hotel exceeded all expectations, comfortable classic furnishings, top of line bedding. Clean and comfortable and a gracious staff. Can't be beat for comfort and quality.
