Salmon budies
POOR Facility
The rooms in this hotel were and are in need of a lot of attention. phones did not work, air cond. did not work, in room coffee pot did not work and dirty from previous tenant. Rooms had spider webs and spiders crawling on the walls. The staff has little to work with and some staff members choose to work behind the counter shirtless and in poor personal hygiene. May be comfortable to some but, for me and my traveling friends a BIG THUMBS DOWN

Overnight in Victoria
I have spent an entire career in the hospitality industry, and this property is not a 3 star hotel/inn. The staff were quite pleasant, but not very experienced in providing the level of service I would have expected, given the 3 star rating I saw when I booked the room. The property is worn, the blankets and carpeting in the room were neither clean nor up to 3 star standards. The room was 'ok' if one had no alternative, at a reasonable price, for a one night stay. I paid $170, taxes included and saw reader board adds for similar accomodation nearby for $79 ex-taxes. NOt imppressed.

Does its job
We booked last minute and all reasonably priced places around the harbor were booked. But then again...Victoria downtown is about as large as a four block radius, so it's not that big a deal. One of the bed in our room was broken, which the staff promptly fixed. Shady sketchy looking outside, but clean and nice inside. It's not exactly the Hilton, but it does it's job (clean bed, fresh sheets, excellent plumbing, nice friendly staff). I wouldn't mind staying here again, but not sure if I'll be spending more than 1 night in Victoria, time does go by quite slowly here...

Call Il Terrazzo a day or two for reservation because you'll be eating at the Old Spaghetti Factory, wishing you had reserved first. This Italian joint is prob one of the best of its kind in BC.
