Convenient, reasonable
This hotel is very close to the Clipper and Blackball ferry docks. It's convenient to downtown activities and attractions. It's a reasonable value compared to other Canadian hotels. All Canadian hotels, though, are much more expensive than their US counterparts. Biggest problem was they didn't seem to record anywhere that we had three people in our party. [...]. They only had rooms with one bed left - and this was before official check-in time. We ended up being housed in their "Library", which is a large conference room with a loft. The bed is in the loft; the bathroom is downstairs, and they wheeled in a cot to make the sleeping place for the third person. Sleeping in a room with a conference table for 20 people felt a little odd, but it was OK. It's the sort of thing that wouldn't have worked for everyone (not everyone wants to descend an unfamiliar staircase in the middle of the night to use the toilet), but what were our other options?

Time warp
The hotel is really really dated. Flower wallpaper and upholstery from 1960s England. Everything is clean and neat but the age is a little offputting. The location, however, is perfect and the staff extremely friendly. Ok for a night or two.

Huntingdon Hotel & Suites 330
This hotel is in an unbeatable location, however, it is is desperately in need of refurbishment. It is dark, dingy and overpriced. Staff were polite and helpful. Being on holiday, I tried to stay out as much as possible, not difficult in Victoria. Hotel has 60s style character at the sacrifice of comfort. Furniture needs to go to an op shop ASAP.

Very Nice Place
Very nice antique feeling. The service was good. Night time staff kind of incompetent. Daytime staff great though. Never tired the restaurant or pool but room was good. You could easily walk to downtown for great food or pubs. Very laid back atmosphere. The walls are kind of thin so in the morning you can hear people coming and going. I would request a quieter room location if applicable. Overall I would go back!

We will stay here again!
We came to Victoria on a foot ferry which landed directly across the street from our hotel. The Huntingdon is an older hotel with 70's wall paper, but very clean and friendly. We found it quaint. From here you can walk all around old town and the inner harbor area. Lots of street vendors and shops. This city is lit up at night and walking along the harbor is safe and enjoyable. The Royal BC Museum is 2 block away and is a must see.

very helpful front desk
The Huntingdon Hotel was comfortably rooomy and has a table with two chairs for having coffee. The washroom was very clean and has good drainage. The location was in a great and sophisticated neighbourhood. The hotel is so close to downtown, the seawall and great attractions where so many tourists congregate. The location was even enjoyable during the evening with quaint restaurants nearby. The restaurant service was, however, a disaster. The waiter seemed in a daze as he had to ask for our order three times. We gave up but the hotel reception apologized and did not charged for the parking. This gesture from the reception was indeed laudable.
