The hotel redeeemed itself. When we checked in we were put into a room that was very hot, next to the maid station, the ice machine was broken on our floor, and the pool changing rooms were shut down, which includes the sauna. So I finally got the nice person at the front desk, our original person was not friendly, and she moved us which made us very happy. The other front desk person should not be in the hotel business.

We stayed at the hotel for one night, and we will not be coming back. The location of the hotel was right across the parliament building and at night the view was just gorgeous, however the hotel was about half an hour walking distance from downtown. When we got there we stood there for a while to get checked in and then a very rude receptionist made us feel very unwelcome. Rudest staff i have yet seen. The pool was average but not very deep starts 1 ft and goes to 5.5 ft. The room was very simple, no flat screen TV, no microwave or fridge, although in the description it said that those amenities were available in the room. The room was full of notes that were really annoying... There was a small water bottle in the bathroom with a note attached "if you drink this make sure and let the reception know, so that a five dollar charge can be added on to your bill". That's not word for word but you got the idea... I'm fine with just the vending machine outside somewhere, with not overpriced water. Then, there was couple of other cheap little "snacks" that cost no more than two dollars with a price of $9.95 per item... it just seemed all they cared about is your money... they even put a 35 dollar price tag on an umbrella if you wanted to take it. i mean really???? has anyone ever taken a pillow or other stuff that is clearly marked hotel property... in a not cheap hotel... clearly all this hotel cared about is making money off of you, but the product they sell is worthless... will never comeback to this hotel, in my mind customer service ranks the highest in any hotel business. this hotel failed!!!!! cold, unfriendly dungeon.

The most delicious place ever for italian food is "paglaccio's" or something similar... off of Fort st. and broad st. very down to earth people and staff, delicious food, reasonable pricing.

Beautiful, Nice, But Pricey Town
Everthing about the hotel is ordinary and within the expections for a pricey hotel. Nothing extradinary other than the big comfortable king-size bed. We were not impressed by a tiny narrow window with allegedly full harbor view which we paid for.

Needs Updating
We booked the suite, which was indeed 1000 sqft, but was mostly wasted space since it was basically two rooms joined, not one big open suite. A bit silly, really. Walls, carpet, facilities all a bit tired now. Time for updating. Great staff and excellent location though.

Pricy but lacking
