Great place to stay

We were really happy with the Day's Inn. The Clipper arrives into Victoria at 11:00 so we went early to see if we could drop our luggage off so we could go sight seeing unencumbered (it is a block away from the Clipper). Not only did they let us get into our room then BUT they also upgraded us (for free after I asked) to a room with a beautiful view of the Harbour. The room was simple, but clean and neat and suprisingly quiet. It is also next to some of the great things that Victoria has to offer. I would stay there again in a heart beat.

we enjoyed the stay but do not understand why there is no aircondition in the rooms it was too hot even with the window open faceing the harbour it was so uncomfortable to sleep and no fans in the bathrooms it needs a good renovation we have stayed a few times over the years but we are going to try somewhere that is a little updated and probabley get it for the same price or even less

Great location

Nice place to stay in Victoria. An older building that has been refurbished. Nothing fancy, parts of the hotel are dated but great location. Comfortable for a 2.5 star hotel. Some websites list it as a 3 star hotel or even higher which will lead to disappointment. Expect 2.5 stars and you'll be satisfied. Minutes from the Inner Harbour waterfront and parliament buildings. Try to avoid the rooms above the bar patio in the front and entrance to the beer and wine store at the back. Nearby Laurel Point Park is good for a less crowded waterfront walk.

Excellent Stay right off Harbor

For the money, there is no better property out there. Though the property is older, it is kept us nice and has some really nice features, such as two bottles of water in the room. Free wireless internet that worked perfect. Nice bed, no noise on 4th floor. Restuarant off lobby had an excellent breakfast. Hotel right next door to victoria clipper dropoff and hotel. Great location to downtown. Would stay here again.

Dinner at PAGLIACCI'S was excellent! Would highly recomend. Even for a Saturday night the 30 min wait in line was worth the trip.

Only satisfactory

Location of Days Inn was perfect--close to major sites in Victoria, on the waterfront, easy access to bus to Butchart Gardens.I would like to have known in advance (and paid for) the charge for airport shuttle. From talking to the [...]agent and the clerk at the hotel, it sounded like a complimentary shuttle provided by the hotel. Made me short on my Canadian money supply to pay for shuttle both ways. The hotel itself was okay; clerks were polite but not friendly. The bathroom was extremely cramped; I bumped by arm on the corner of the sink/vanity twice. Shower extremely small. Hot tub was outside and weather was too cold to use; this was disappointing. Bed was comfortable, good light and spacious room. I enjoyed getting complimentary bottled water daily and having internet access.

Butchart Gardens worth every penny and effort to get there. Be sure to go back the next day for only $4.00 entrance fee.

Well located

The hotel is well located for sightseeing in Victoria. The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel offered good value for money. Slight concerns about security as public could walk in to the hotel and take the lift to any floor without being detected. Some aspects of the cleaning left a lot to be desired.

British Columbia Trip

The Hotel is a block away from the main harbor and the Government Buildings. It has a very good Restaurant and Sports Bar. Wireless internet was not too good. Parking is a little crowded, but you are guaranteed a spot. We were able to park our car at the Port Angeles Ferry terminal overnight in order to get on the first ferry run.
