Festive Victoria

Made to feel very welcome by the staff. Has a real feel about it. Received a free room upgrade which made it much easier for us as a family of three. Restaurant was good and the bar had a relaxed feel about it. 5 mins to the major locations in Downtown. Will hopefully return in the New Year

Fairmont Hotel Bengal Buffet. Great location and ambience. Singer performing while you dine. Food not quite the same as an Indian restaurant in England but worth the expense.

Great Experience

I really like this hotel. I had bad experience with previous hotels, booked in this location. This time, I carefully choose and decide to pay I little more. I have a good experience, the Hotel has a restaurant in the 18th floor call Vista 18, attention and food was nice. I recommend anybody to stay there. The only downsize is the fact that parking and breakfast has to be paid separated.

Nice Older Style Hotel

Nice entrance & Lobby area, we were up-graded to a 2Brd Suite that was very spacious & had everything we needed. Lovely views from large outdoor area, that could be tiled to make look nicer. Definitely recommend to a larger family

Very good location

Very good property location and the suite which had a full kitchen whih we used. Less than 5 minute walk from Pacific Coach terminal if coming from Vancouver or taking one of their tours. Easy walking distance to city, port area, hire cars and local buses. Front desk very helpful and arranged free shuttle to Victoria Clipper. Lifts could be slow and queues at front desk. Unit showing its age but was clean with comfortable seating and great bed. Only real concern would be in the summer as the bedroom had a portable type air conditioner which may be noisy.

Four stars?

I like the location and the food served thru room service was above average. The lobby was under construction (a temporary hinderance) and the room was surprisingly small, especially the bathroom. This room didn't feel four star!

Great hotel with equally as great location and staff!

My wife and I were very happy with our stay at this hotel. We took the bus in and it was an easy walk from the bus stop, as well as to the visitor's centre, the inner harbor and Government street and all of the shops and restaurants that abound around there. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The shuttle driver was great and was ready to take us nearly anywhere we wanted to go in the nearby neighborhoods. We enjoyed some latin jazz in the rooftop restauranr Vista 18. The prices are reasonable, as all rooftop restaurants tend to be much more expensive in my experience. We had a huge deck outside and the junior suite felt like home (my wife's words and she is much pickier about hotels than I am). I would definitely recommend this hotel. We used a promo code, but even without the discount, it was very worth the price and my wife and I were both very happy with it. They had a nice workout room and pool/jacuzzi, which we did not take advantage of. I would definitely stay here again!

If you are not bringing a car, definitely plan some of the things you want to do in advance. There is a lot to do in Victoria city, however the Gardens and some other attractions are 30 minute drive or hour bus ride away.

Best value in Victoria

This hotel was everything we needed right from the location to allowing us to bring our little dog, Bella!! Centrally located downtown, walking distance to everything (sites, restaurants, water, shops, vendors, music etc), great cafes and restaurants near. Rooms were fair size with A/C, good toiletries, clean and close to parking garage. Clives bar is fantastic witha great assortment of martinis!!!
