Great hotel and location
Seasoned traveller. Oct 27, 2009
Dependable Marriott quality. Excellent staff. Within easy walking distance of most everything in Vancouver. Expensive ... parking!
Traveler type: Couples
Only rent a car for a couple of days to visit attractions outside of the city to save on expenses and there are lots of rental agencies downtown. When factoring in the high cost of hotel parking ($20-25 per day), its cheaper to take cabs.

Wedding Guest Oct 20, 2009
The room was clean and comfortable, but the extra charges for the parking, the expensive food and the expensive internet were ... a bit prohibitive. The concierge was extremely helpful and informative and the location was perfect for the Downtown attractions. It was easy to drive to based on Google maps directions. The family had rooms on many different floors, but having limited access via elevator to other floors was a bit incovenient given that the wedding party was staying at the hotel.

Top notch hotel accomodations!
Stephanie Sep 17, 2009
We arrived at the hotel, on foot after a full day of car, air, and public transport to beautiful Vancouver. The staff and ... concierge at the hotel were a very helpful, courteous, professional yet down to earth group to deal with. The hotel is only a block from the Waterfront, a block from the Skytrain, and a short walk to the Water Taxi service (located next to the Convention Center on the water). A very short walk will take you to great restaurants and bars. We thoroughly enjoyed Vancouver!
Traveler type: Couples
Use the concierge to direct you to local attractions, which are abundant. We took a the water bus at WAterfront Station, then public bus up to beautiful Grouse Mountain for a very small fee and came back the same way. Very good and cheap public transportation, just watch timetables.

If you don't have too much luggage, take the Canada line from the airport to hotel for about 3 dollars; it is brand new and much quicker than any shuttle service.

We arrived past midnight on a VERY busy night in Vancouver. Unfortunately, Orbitz had communicated 2 persons to the hotel ... so when 2 adults and 2 kids showed up with 1 bed - we had a problem. There was not an available room in the city but the manager was EXTREMELY helpful and they made up a bed on the floor for my kids and comped our breakfast. The room had been paid already so they couldn't discount that. It was a beautiful room and the hotel staff was all very gracious.

AGAIN AT HOME, MY 3d. STAY HERE
Pemaca Jun 10, 2009
I have attended several conferences and exhibitions since 2004, at the Pan Pacific Center and now to the, out of this world, ... new Vancouver Convention Center. For Hydrogen, Fuel Cells and Renewable Energy for the climatic change and the environmental sustainability. One of the best hotels in the vicinity and for prices and service and services, much better. Every visit to Vancouver and in this hotel is a remarkable visit, after a series of nine trips for the same purposes. What a view from the 27th floor from the mountains, North Vancouver Stanley Park and the harbour, in summer, as well as in winter.
Traveler type: Business
A lot of atractions in downtown, Stanley Park for relax and eating, shopping, quiet street, close to the new recreation area in waterfront, and enjoyable views from Coal Harbour to the mountains.

Great hotel, great location
Colorado travelers Jun 2, 2009
Our room was spacious and comfortable, spotless. The concierge extremely helpful in getting us set up for tours and giving ... us tips on restaurants and attractions. The restaurant, while not expecially elegant, had great food and friendly knowedgable staff. The location was great - short walk to the convention center and waterfront, comfortable walking distance to most attractions downtown. We loved it!

Great views & comfort
Debbie May 14, 2007
The hotel was very accommodating and the staff were wonderful!!! very friendly & helpful. We traveled with friends & they ... were on a differnt floor. The security they use will only let you go to the floor that you are registered to; so we had to go downstairs to meet to go to each others room. Also the ice machine is on every other floor, so sometimes the security wouldn't let us go to the floor for the ice. But the hotel room was very comfortable with wonderful mattresses & linens. The view of the harbor was also wonderful. I hope the high rises don't take their view!
