The Westin is a very nice hotel with spa like bathrooms and nicely decorated rooms in calm colors. Nice water views from our ... window. We could see the cruise ships in port and watch them sail away too. The Seawall walkway is right outside. The only negative about the great location is that you will hear the commercial sea planes in the harbor right next door taking off and landing starting by 7:00 am. We also had some very noisy conventioneers on our floor who partied in the hallway until midnight. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The valet parking attendants were particularly friendly. Several restaurants are within walking distance. We really liked Gyoza King. Cardero's was also very good if a bit pricey.

You can buy a "3 in 1" pass to visit the Vancouver Museum, the Maritime Museum, and the MacMillan Space Centre all located in Vanier Park just across the Burrard Bridge. All 3 were interesting to visit.

Bayshore great - depending on roomview
Lotus Paul Sep 22, 2009
Great location, excellent service, nearby bars and restaurants. However I feel the room descriptions are obtuse and we were ... disappointed with a suite stuck in a corner with a view and balcony over a shingle roof. Tower De luxe actually means Harbour View, Traditional room means no view! Traditionla Marina view means partial / obscured view of harbour. I had expected a better view having paid for a suite!! Come on Westin, tell it like it is! Also the health suite was undergoing a refurb so facilities more restricted (Sept 2009)and late check out changing /shower was unavailable.

Very convenient location close to downtown madness but far enough for the street noise. Love the bayshore walk, very quaint ... and safe. Has a homely atmosphere because close by are real apartments and condos where real family stays.

Walking distance to Robson St. And beautiful Stanley Park. Friendly service. Nice indoor and outdoor pools. Soft bed. We ... will stay there again for sure. Took 1 star out only because the restaurant "the Grill" was below average. Otherwise, I recomend this hotel to anyone. Perfect for Family Vacation!!! I encourage everyone to pay a little extra to get the room with the view of the bay. It's so worth it!

MGF Jul 14, 2009
This was by far one of the best hotels that I have stayed in a long time. I found all the amenities that I required, being ... disabled, they provided me with a beautiful suite with an amazing shower where I could sit while bathing and not worry about falling. The room was extremily clean and the service was excellent. Plus it was at a prime location, where you could just walk to beautiful restaurants or museums, or wherever I felt like doing.Thank you so much.

WESTIN BAYSHORE, JUNE 28-JULY 5, 2009
Sandy Jul 6, 2009
The Westin Bayshore is in a great location on the West End of Vancouver. We had wonderful service from the Consierge and also ... the onsite City Tour staff who helped us plan some great outings. There are whale watching, plane tours, bike rentals and Stanley Park all easily within walking distance, as well as tons of restaurants, and coffee shops. Hotel staff was wonderful, and we liked the "green" options of easily letting maid service know when towels or bedding need laundering. Heavenly beds are as advertised: Heavenly!

There are "Hop On Hop Off" buses that provide overall city tours, good for first time visit, first day overview of the city. Ours was $29 first day, $6 add on second day, and goes to all the main sections of Vancouver: Chinatown, Gastown, Canada Place, etc. There is also a $2 per person/day trolley inside Stanley Park- which is also fine except often packed during peak hours. (Ignore ads for "Free" Trolley) City bus transit is excellent, $2.50 for 90 minutes w/ transfers, across all types of city transit (sky train, sea bus, city bus). Best inexpensive (by Vancouver standards) lunch: JapaDogs, just a short walk down the Seawalk!!

I loved the room, but wished they would have provided shoes for the indoor pool and on tv it would have been nice to see more ... about the possibilities of the hotel. Instead almost every other minute they did marketing about their HD movies. But nevertheless I loved the Westin despite their expensive breakfast buffet and the very expensive internet possibility which made me having vacation without connection to the world.

I was there with my family to run in the 2009 Vancouver Marathon. This hotel was especially accommodating to me, providing ... routes for warm-up (and weekend) runs in Stanley Park and on the waterfront. The concierge was also very helpful in choosing a restaurant of my preference for dinner. Although we were there for one night, we really did feel at home with the quiet location and the friendly staff. With all that went perfectly well, the only complaints I had are that the guaranteed view of the marina from my room was blocked by the tower. Also, the price I paid for the room was only the base price, not including parking. However, this is what I expected since I have stayed in comparable hotels in large cities: very $$.

The most original thing this hotel has to offer is its proximity to Stanley Park. There aren't very many hotels that can boast a giant "playground." The location of this hotel is unbeatable.

The Westin Bayshore was very enjoyable and its proximity to Stanley Park made for one of the best runs after work that I have ... ever had. Another important feature is its closeness to a couple of very nice restaurants that are only a very short walk down the boardwalk. The rooms are renovated and the bed is incredibly soft and lights out occurs very fast.
