Great Downtown Vancouver Hotel

Had a two-room suite for my best friend's bachelor party weekend, the accommodations were fantastic, the service impeccable and everything was better than expected for the price. The gym was especially suprising, not huge but with an excellent assortment of high-end equipment, the heated pool was nice as well. Would definitely come back.

Nice but old

Excellent value for spacious one bed room suite for family of four. A king size bed in the bedroom and queen size bed in the living room for kids. Everything was great except dust everywhere in the room.

Clean, upscale, and great location

Hotel is in a great location one block away from Robson Street. There are many cafes as well as many places to eat and shop. The hotel room is very clean and lobby is immalculate. Staff can be overly friendly bordering on being ingratiating ~ take it as that. The people frequenting the hotel appear to be older with money. I felt a little under dressed with my jeans in the lobby ~ probably because I am American. The chocolate buffet is to die for. It is a must try and experience for the chocoholic for $27CAD. The one thing I did not like was the $30CAD a day for parking, even for self-park. But, you stay at an upscale place there are costs.

nice

Lovely hotel in a great location in Vancouver. Walk to convention center, Stanley Park, train. Rooms are pretty and well set up. Most of the staff were polite and helpful. Small annoyance was that the "internet available" on the website meant "available for a ridiculous fee" in real life. That sort of advertising seems misleading at best.

Great location, hospitality

This was an excellent place for 4-day anniversary weekend. Great location in the heart of downtown Vancouver...easy to get to others parts of town from here, like a brief walk and water taxi to Granville Island; walk to Coal Harbor & Stanley Park; plenty of shopping just around the corner. Excellent housekeeping & concierge service. The mattress could have been better, but it wasn't too bad. That and the traditional "Chippendale" decor were my only complaints.

Coast restaurant had excellent seafood -- we enjoyed very fresh oysters, octopus salad and Dungeness crab gnocchi! It's a very busy, slightly noisy, happening place that's also great for people watching!

Old World Elegance

the staff were so lovely - as an example, the car was late in picking me up so the doorman stayed outside talking with me to keep me calm. It reminds me of hotels I've stayed at overseas - old world elegance.
