Great hotel in a great location

Stayed at the hotel during the Jazz Festival and was treated to terrific jazz at the O'Doul's in the hotel. Contemporary art throughout the hotel was tasteful and interesting. Staff was incredibly professional and helpful, even when they were busy. Located on the edge of the busiest shopping stretch on Robson St., so close to stores, coffee, crepes and restaurants. Loved the free coffee service in the morning: french press coffee delivered to your room at the time you select. Would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat!

lovely experience, great location

The stay at the hotel was great. The location was perfect and the price was good as well except for the parking charges which I thought were a bit too high, but all in all the service was really great.

The perfect Vancouver spot

The Listel shines among the hotels I've stayed in. The service is excellent: from front desk to care of the rooms. Special touches are original pieces of art, many from the Museum of Anthropology. An added bonus is O'Doul's restaurant in the hotel. Service there is excellent, too. The location is ideal for those who love good restaurants, shopping, and long walks. It is just a few short blocks to Coal Harbour and Stanley Park. I can't imagine staying anyplace else in Vancouver.

Dining tip: Short drive from hotel

Vij's is an Indian restaurant that should not be missed. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent and unobtrusive. It is busy and there are no reservations, so head for the bar for your wait. Servers make the rounds with wonderful appetizers to go with drinks.

Great boutique hotel

The was a very pleasant, small hotel with helpful staff. Rooms were nice sized. Location great, just 6 blocks from Stanley Park, right at the end of the Robson St shopping district. Three blocks from the water on the North side and the public walkway. Lots of good restaurants in walking distance.

Nice Stay

The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating though they were not always the most organized. When I asked for a crib they found one though at first they didn't seem sure they would have one. We were supposed to have a king or 2 double beds but had just one double bed. When we asked about it, they said they had upgraded us to the Gallery floor because the other floor was full. They also had us in a corner room which was good since we had an infant. They asked if that was satisfactory and we said it was fine because I really didn't want to move and it was a nice room. The room fee included internet access, telephone calls up to a certain limit, copies, and a few other things. It was great having internet access in our room, and we did end up making some phone calls from the room because our cell phones did not work there. Overall we had a very nice stay in this hotel.

Great Place to Stay in Vancouver

Good location, close to walking distance to everything needed on a vacation. Park near by for the kids, ocean front marina block away. Excellent restaurant within the hotel. Great Chinese restaurant close by. Knowledgeable staff. Helped with tour reservations, and transport reservations. Friendly courteous staff. Overall very pleased. Very small mini bar. Prices were too high compared to US for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
