A Keeper - I would stay again

Spacious room in an artsy hotel with a great downtown location. Loved the little things like the shampoo, conditioner and body lotion dispensers in the shower and the ramp that made getting luggage to the elevator so much easier. Staff was helpful and the buffet breakfast was delicious.

Friendly and accommodating

The Listel staff were friendly, and our room was ready when we arrived. Very comfortable bed, and the location, although downtown, was quiet inside the hotel. The on-sight restaurant was nice, the food okay, however the jazz music was great. The Listel was within walking distance to alot of places. I liked the fact that you could catch the tour bus from a couple of blocks away. The location is not far from the two facing Starbucks cafes.[literally across the street from each other]. A great photo op. The room had all of the ammenities we needed, for business or just relaxing. There are quite a few good restaurants close as well. If you are going on a cruise, starting in Vancouver, you are a couple of minutes by cab from the ships.

Excellent Place To Stay in Vancouver

What a pleasant surprise! We just finished an anniversary trip to Vancouver. And although we were only at the Listel for one night, it was nothing short of fabulous. We were able to check in three hours early. The front desk staff was amazingly friendly. They gave us great tips for how to spend that day, where to walk, what to do. AND there was a free wine tasting that night in the adjacent art gallery. The room was clean, professional looking, and had free wired internet access. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cheaper downtown alternative to the larger chains. The Listel was great!

Very Coo, well-located Hotel

The Listel was one of th best value hotels i have experienced. unassuming from the outside and lobby, the hallways with artwork led to a surprisingly well-furnished room with great style touches, a nice bathroom with great products and excellent white fluffy towels, and a huge bed with quality linens. the view of the harbor was nice, and the proxinity to tenis and the entire Stanley Park and the best shopping in town makes it the best location for tourists and business travellers. the food from Delaneys downstairs was delivered hot and quickly, and the staff were consistently professional and friendly at any time of the day or night. a very nice touch; you need a room key to go up to the guest floors, which would be very comforting for single travellers.

lovely experience, great location

The stay at the hotel was great. The location was perfect and the price was good as well except for the parking charges which I thought were a bit too high, but all in all the service was really great.

Nice, but you are paying for the location

Not much to look at from the outside as you walk in from a busy street into its well appointed but crammped lobby. Only 2 chairs to sit in if you were meeting someone or just wanted to watch the street activity. Checkin was easy and the staff very proffessional. Room card key required to get the elevators to move which is a good idea. Room was clean and well laid out with a flat screen TV mounted on the wall which freed up a lot of space on the dresser. Even though I was on the second floor the room was very quiet, but not much of a view. The only non bed spot to sit was a chaise lounger in the corner next to what appeared to be some sort of high art wine bucket. If you have childern be ware of the goodies on top of the fridge. $5 for a bottle of water, chocolate bar or bag of peanuts can add up fast. If you like walking around an internationl city with an exciting buzz this is a good spot. Very nice dining in the hotel and within walking distance. Never been to a Tim Hortons before but a 10 minute walk will save you about $15 on breakfast, and the seems to be a Starbucks on every corner.
