Just like home, but with a much better view
With the exciting West End at the doorstep, beautiful English Bay in view and spacious suites with full kitchens, Sandman Suites offers a great location for an extended stay. Keep fit with a long walk or jog along nearby English Bay or utilize the fully-equipped, on-site fitness center. Guests relax at the seasonal outdoor pool or rejuvenate at pHresh Spa +Wellness Club, where massage, skincare and yoga are all available. Dining in is easy with full kitchens in every suite, but eating out is just as fun with Moxie's Classic Grill right downstairs.

Excellent location
I happened to be in town when there was a fireworks display and I had a front row seat from my balcony. The room was large and very nice. The bathroom was a little small but that was OK. The clerk told me that someone with a pet had stayed there before but it was clean. I felt that there were some pet hairs and they offered to move me. I walked to English Bay and Stanley Park and Robson Street for shopping. There is a Safeway down the street. I did not have any problems with the area and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Fabulous Views and Affordable Options
If you want to be in the heart of Vancouver, feel like a star, and still have pocket change, you'll definitely want to stay at the Sandman Suites on Davie. It's worth the cost to get those stunning views of the harbor, so ante up, it will put a kick in your step and wow any visitors. The updated kitchen, fully equipped, allows you to splurge on the town, but keep other meals affordable. An excellent washer/dryer combo adds to overall convenience, especially if this is a business trip or one stop on a summer holiday! Be sure to check out festival dates far in advance, so you'll have the best rooms for them.

Within a few blocks, there are numerous affordable and $$$$ restaurants, as well as excellent grocery shops, bakeries, and coffee houses. You just really can't go wrong.

Excellent Hotel and Staff
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The location of the hotel is perfect to take advantage of the west end. The view was great overlooking English Bay. The kitchen was well equipped. I was very comfortable cooking.

Great value Great location
Great value for the location. Near the bay, shopping and restaurants. If you like a convenient location then the Sandman is your choice. Staff was very thorough and highly professional.

Home away from home
This trip was very enjoyable. The location wasn't noisy and made it very relaxing when I returned back to unwind in my room. Site seeing locations, restaurants, and shopping centers were in a good walking distance. You could even take a cab ride, if you didn't wish to walk 20 minutes to a destination. But I believe the walking was great with the Vancouver weather (even in the drizzling rain). Compared to other trips, this was very relaxing and the view was amazing from my room. I loved every bit of my stay there.

Nice location
I enjoyed the hotel in the heart of the [*] district. I stayed in one of the better rooms not sure if I would have liked it as much if not. I usually prefer the Fairmont because I love indoor pools and first class rooms. However, I can imagine staying here again. Oh, the elevators are way freakin to slow!!

Weekend in Vancouver
[...] The hotel in right in the center of Davie village, is connected to a nice restaurant/lounge, and is near good restaurants and shopping. The room was nice and clean, pretty much set up like a one bedroom apartment. I didn't get a chance to check out the pool, or workout area.
