Sandman Suites on Davie - Vancouver

This hotel was in the heart of a great walking neighborhood, surrounded by great eateries, lots of internet cafes and touristy shops,a fresh fruit market and bakery right next door, and a short distance from Stanley Park and the beach. We were pleasantly suprised to find a full kitchen in our room, complete with flatware, glasses, and plates. We were able to make our own breakfast each morning and to use fresh items from the market next door. The only disappointment is that there was not indoor pool or hot tub, the outdoor pool was heated but we were just not confident it was heated enough for us to take a dip in the cool Vancouver spring. The hotel overall was very nice and we'd stay there again anytime.

Great veiw, very freindly staff with knowledgeable recommendations as to where to spend time or eat out. Vey clean,comfortable rooms, Teh bath was small but suitable. The hotel seemed close to almost everything of interest to us. We'll be back...

The hotel is in a great location, with good restaurants,coffee shops, bakeries, and fresh fruit & vegetable markets nearby. A short walk to Robson Street, Stanley Park, English Bay, and a short water bus ride to Granville Island. The hotel is not fancy, but it was clean, the front desk people were friendly & helpful, and the small suite had a full kitchen. There is a pool, health spa, sauna, and business center for computer access (for a fee). My only complaint was that my laptop could not connect to the internet on the free connection in my room. Other than that, it was a great place to stay, and a good value

The Hotel Was Excellent Good Value For Money,The Room Service left a lot to be desired we were there for 2 weeks and the bed sheets/pillowcases were not changed once, on one occassion we came home at night only to find the bed not been made,we made it up ourselves and repoted it to the front desk, overall avery good hotel we would stay there again no problem well worth the 3 star award (other than the maid service}

We stayed three nights at the hotel. If you don't mind walking, you can walk all over the city from China town, old town and Stanley Park all about one mile away. We stayed in the Penthouse on the top floor because we wanted the jacuzzi which was nice after walking around town, just remember that the penthouse is a studio room and doesn't have a seperate bedroom. Plenty of food choices and many great bakeries on the same block. A good hotel for the price and location. I would stay there again.

The hotel was in a good location for walking to restaurants, bars & clubs, shopping. I thought the suites should have either been a little bigger or laid out a little better. It seemed like a decent size hotel room that was retro-fitted with a wall down the middle to turn it into a suite. So the bedroom was very small, you had to crawl across the bed to get to the sliding door, as the television stand was about 10 inches from the end of the bed. (suggestion: flat panel wall mounted television perhaps) It was nice to have a kitchen, but when we first walked in the room it smelled sort of bad. The lobby area was very nice and modern. The Spa was very nice. The exterior of the hotel is very dated and needs some freshening up.

the hotel was ok the location was great.we went to see the fireworks and had a bite to eat.I did not like the fact that i had to pay to park my car.

Great Full Kitchen, Grocery Stores cloose, but you probably won't need them with all the great restaurants within a short walk. Close to Stanley Park, Robson St, and Granville St.

We really like staying in suite hotels - having a kitchenette is important to us. Plus, we had a wonderful view of English Bay. The suites are not fancy but a good value for the price.
