Not really impressed

The room we got was the size of a storage closet with the view of the air conditioning system of the hotel. Rooms were hot and stuffy. Then the elevator got stuck with a bunch of people on it and it was very hot and hard to breath in it. Now the front desk said they sent someone to fix it but after 5 minutes of no one coming some of us in the elevator were able to pry the door open and escape. The only good this is this hotel is close to GM place where we were going to watch an event. Other than that its not worth $200 a night.

The Room

The TV controller did not work, we phoned to have it replaced, when the maid tried the second one it too did not work she left with it and never did return with a workable controller. No fridge in room and the elevator was experiencing problems in as much as it was slow to the point where people were taking the stairs. We will stay.

Disappointing

The location isn't bad but the hotel itself had a bunch of little inconveniences that made the stay uncomfortable. It was my least favorite hotel in Vancouver and we stayed in three different hotels during our trip. -internet connection kept getting disconnected -rooms are incredibly small -elevator wasn't functioning correctly -the bed frame is several inches wider then the bed, I kept stubbing my toe It wasn't horrible just not very comfortable.

Great location at Sandman VANC

Our experience was fairly good, a bit crazy at check in, they had a sell out and they should have had more staff to accommodate it. Rooms are smaller than I expected, we got a KING room but the bed was not a KING. Bathrom was ok, not very much sink counter space. not enough towels. Extra blankets would have been nice as well. Would stay there again BUT now we know what to expect. thanks for asking.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Drinks are very expensive at the sports arenas, there is a liquor store about 2 blocks on Robson, we would have pre-drinks in the room before we ventured out.

Great Location and Restaurant

It was close to downtown attractions and two blocks from a SkyTrain station. The elevators all had to be activated by a room key which can be a hassle when your hands all full.

3 Stars-Quite ordinary

Great location for Queen Elizabeth venue. No breakfast or coffee bar: you have to make your own coffee in your room. Room was very small, and view was not great (roofs of adjoining buildings). The faucet was loose. Ice machine not working on two floors. Underground garage parking (not free) with extremely low ceilings: our hatchback kept hitting it when open. But very clean.

Noisy room

Everything was great except for the noise in the corridor and next room, you can hear every word people are saying. The partying and fights kept us up half the night. Needs some soundproofing in the North Tower!!!
