Good value; convenient location

The room is small and rather plain but certainly good value. Cleaning was very thorough. There are many dining and entertainment options within easy walking distance. Easy access to downtown offices which I particularly liked because I was there on business. A small fridge and microwave would have been nice.

Great stay, clean hotel, great location

I'd never been to Vancouver and, in my research on hotels there, became concerned about the lack of cleanliness in some hotels -- and bed bugs! After a lot more research, I went with the Ramada Inn & Suites and could not have been happier. The location was great: near clubs, restaurants, coffee shops, the beach (a long walk, but I did it a couple times because it was well worth it) and other neighborhoods in the city. The only drawback was how loud it got in my room on the weekend nights... there are clubs very near to the hotel, maybe even a neighboring club. You can almost FEEL the music in your room. But I did a lot during the day and went to sleep quickly at night (and slept soundly). If you're not a sound sleeper, don't stay here. A nice, clean room... not big at all but big enough (for 1-2 people). Plus, free Internet in each room, which was nice because I was traveling and needed to book stuff on Amtrak.

Walk over to the English Bay (don't go over the Granville St. bridge... go over the other one) and go to a great beach.

Great Last Minute Road Trip

We decided to take a staycation at the last minute. We decided to go see a movie but drive into downtown for the show. The rate was awesome, the rooms are new renovated and people at the front desk were really helpful making dinner recommendations for us. Granville Street has changed so much in the past few years and we found some cool shops mixed in with great nightlife and street lounge pubs. The area has developed real character. If you have the time for a staycation, short get-away or even a little longer we found that there were a number of promotional specials available online and directly with the hotel.

Money-saving tip: In Hotel

Visit during the week if you can. The hotel rates are cheaper and the restaurants all seem to have specials on the go. Also seems to be a little less crowded during the week.

Great Stay, Great Location

This hotel is centrally located in downtown Vancouver. You are a short jaunt to Yaletown, and a short walk to Granville Island. Matter of fact, you can walk to many of the top downtown attractions including Stanley Park (about a 20 minute walk). Because of the 4 blocks that you'll walk to Yaletown, you may spend most of your time there visiting the chic restaurants and shops. Plus, you can jump on the train and take it to Canada Place (or simply walk for another 20 minutes). Many reviews talked about the noise of the club on the ground floor. I was on the 3rd floor, and I never heard the club. If you are sensitive to noise, you may want to ask for the higher floors. All in all, you can't beat the location and the price. I highly recommend this hotel.

Granville Island is so close, you can almost touch it. Yaletown is basically a few short blocks away. This is an ideal location.
