Hope you don't have a nose

The location is fine, but the place smelled awfull, and was nasty dirty. Almost every surface was dirty espeicially the light switches and things you need to touch. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom for the steam, and no sprinkler system in case of a fire. The "view" out the window into an ally looked like a set from blade runner. The halls smelled like a locker room in a not good way. There was a bug in the bed one night and the heater has no thermistat. I would not stay here again and never consider it with children.

Great Stay

Went downtown vancouver for a concert. Stayed at the Ramada on Granville Street and had a great time. Close to the venue, rooms were just renovated, nice large TV, breakfast was good. The staff, both at arrival and departure, were some of the best I have ever seen. Will be back.

Loud & Unpleasant

Although the hotel was indeed in the center of everything, and the rooms were well taken care of, I would not recommend this hotel. It is next to a club, whose throbbing base line invaded my room every night well into the wee hours of the morning. Granville is also a noisy street, especially on the weekend. I would go with a hotel NOT on Granville for a traveler who really wants to be able to relax in his/her hotel room! The Ramada room was clean and renovated, but it was tiny, with bad lighting and no natural light through its dingy window. Did I mention it was tiny? And there was a ceiling leak outside my room in the hallway whose dripping sound I could hear through my hotel door.

Missed the mark

Got to hotel and was told they had over sold my room type, first they offered me a room smaller than I had booked, when I said I needed the space of a room with separate bedroom was told they would upgrade me. Ended up with a room still worse than I booked. Bed had ripped sheets on it.

Satisfied

Great location easy to get around to lots of different sites and attractions in downtown. area immediately around the hotel is a little run down. Hotel staff very nice. Hotel room was nice, very large bed for a queen size. Overall the hallways in the hotel were a bit dirty and a little old, but the rooms were nice and clean.
