Compares to Motel 8, at a high price....
The Hotel is showing lots of wear, needs maintenance/painting and cleaning, no transportation to airport/cruise ships/ no complementary breakfast. Has nothing to offer and several blocks to restaurants/shopping. And overpriced $130.00 and up per night is high for an ordinary hotel. No view of the City, you either look at overpass bridge or alley and apartments.

For an old hotel not too bad
It is an old hotel consequently hallways, elevator, lobby’s and room’s furniture are not very impressive. Online, I was able to book the four star hotel next to it at much cheaper rate. I did move to that hotel for the most part of my trip.

so so service
when I arrived it was raining. I asked the hotel where to buy an umbrella. They said they were selling. So I bought one from the hotel for 5 bucks. The umbrella was so poor that it broke soon. Not happy about this!!!

Good Business Hotel
The hotel was comfortable and clean and an easy walk from downtown Vancouver. Breakfast wasn't included, which was too bad, but free internet access was and the room was quiet even with a busy road in front of the hotel.

Quality Hotel Downtown Review
The Quality Hotel Downtown was a decent hotel and served its purpose. It was clean, and just off the main strip of Granville. It was slightly spendy for the quality of rooms. The TV was pretty old and the rooms weren't anything special. We had a pretty small bathroom but the king size bed was very comfortable. Everyone was very nice and there was a safe, locked parking structure. I have stayed in Vancouver many times before and this was an average hotel room but still had a slightly higher price. We were there for new years eve though so that may have been the difference on price. Overall I would recommend the hotel, but wished it was slightly cheaper.

Long walk from hotel
The revolving restaurant on Hastings was an incredible dining experience. You're able to see all of the city and it revolves once an hour. It is pricey, but it is by far the best restaurant I have been to.

Once I Got to the Room . . .
. . . the room was fine and clean, the bed firm, and the location convenient to quick exit back south to the United States. The dining room was lovely. The hotel had free topies of the Globe and Mail and the Financial Post. The key point -- check in. Vancouver is a very, very difficult (and tiring) town in which to drive during rush hour. One arriving at your hotel, the urge is to get in and get settled. They could do a better job.

Some of Umberto Menghi's renowned restaurants are nearby on Hornby. A great, inexpensive sushi place -- Kisha Poppo -- is not far away on Davie Street.

Great value downtown!
The hotel is next to a highway so if you want a quiet room, ask for one that faces inwards. The downside is that there is no view in this direction, all you can see are residential buildings and a parking lot. There are also no close dining options nearby except a Tim Hortons and 7-eleven, but Yaletown restaurants and grocery stores are a short walk (10-15 minutes) away.

Shopping tip:
Not Applicable
Also, although the hotel looks close to Granville Island, you can't really walk over there unless you want to be on a highway along with speedy vehicles. Take a bus or water-taxi instead.

Great location
Really nice staff. Comfortable, but small beds in the double room (double beds, double sized). A short walk to the Granville Island ferries. This hotel is well worth the price!
