Fist class location in a great city. We had a great trip

The rooms were ready and clean. the staff was very helpful, and the location was perfect. To go to the rain forest and bridges you could get the bus from the back door of our hotel. The staff made sure we were able to get to our locations with maps and great advice. the city of Vancouver was beautiful and we will go back.

Pre-cruise stay

We stayed for one night on the concierge floor. The hotel was very well located in the center of town and just a short cab ride from the cruise terminal. The rooms were just re-freshed and were quite comfortable. Breakfast was also included in our stay

first time in Canada

We bookrd this hotel for a Mother/Daughter weekend and it was fantastic! It was our first time to Vancouver and the hotel was in a perfect location. On top of that, the lady at the concierge was extremely helpful abd she gave us some great recommendations for restaurants nearby!

Excellent Central Downtown Location

This is a beautiful modern hotel in the heart of downtown Vancouver. It has nice well appointed rooms which are extremely clean and modern. It doesn't have the character of some of the older hotels, but that is more of a plus in this case. If looking for a nice hotel for a business trip or a weekend getaway I would say it is generally perfect.

What is going on with the Elevators

I would have given the Hyatt Regency Downtown Vancouver 5 stars if it was not for three things. 1) The wifi is not included in the price of the room. The rooms are not exactly cheap either, when a hotel down the street offers half the price and no interenet, whats the point. 2) The new touch pad elevator is a waste of energy and technology. Why can't I be free to get in the elevator and touch the button for the floor I want. It was so annoying, especially if the computer thought you pushed a different button than you intended. 3# The hotel did not validate parking and the parking under the building was attrocious. $53 #CAN) for just two days! come on now. The prices I kept having to pay at the hotel ended up limiting what I spent through the rest of the city, does not feel conducive to building a healthy economy.

Best location ever.

Right next to the burrard station and right where the whistler bus stops and picks up. Right near Robson street and all bus stops. There is no way the location could be better than this! And the hotel is clean and comfortable and congenial.

holiday getaway

staff were friendly and helpful. the rooms were comfortable, but gave the impression that it was a hotel for business before tourism, although that takes nothing away from the experience. there were 3 items we were unaware prior to booking in to the hotel. 1. $35 dollars per day car parking. 2. you have to pay for wi fi, although theres free wi fi in cafe next door. 3. hotel required a deposit of $50 per day for incidentals off a credit card. at the end of your stay they will pay cash back only. so you have to exchange the currency. these items need to be known when booking holiday so an informed choice for accommadation can be made. has pool and fitness centre if thats what you want on holiday. good hotel cental to town centre. skytrain station outside hotel. recommend

if you are staying local to vancouver, you do not need to hire a car. you can get a day ticket for $9.60 at a skytrain station which allows you to travel on any public transport in vancouver. includes train bus and seabus. exceptional value. you can get a hot meal at urban fair which very good value with loads of options eat in or take out.
