Hyatt Regency Vancouver

Very good hotel, pleasant, polite and helpful staff. Excellent location in the middle of downtown with a variety of great restaurants and shopping literally within a very short walk. Less expensive or inclusive internet access would have left me without any complaint.

Great view, very pleasant stay

The room was always nicely cleaned up, all staff very courteous and accommodating. There was plenty of advance warning for a late night power outage (due to maintenance work), and they even provided glow sticks - how fun!

Excellent views, even better price

We traveled to Whistler 3 days and luckily the shuttle pick-up and drop-off was right outside the hotel. We did a lot of shopping on Robson street, which is only one block away. We also walked to the Vancouver Convention Centre and to the Ferry to take us to Granville Island. (If you don't get it yet, you are walking distance from everything) The only downside was paying $75 for internet for the whole week...Otherwise, the hotel would have been a 5 star.

Sightseeing tip: Not Applicable

If you plan on going to the Capilano Suspension bridge there is a free shuttle that picks you up from the hotel. They also give you a great little tour of the city on the way. It's remarkable that it is free!

Hyatt Adventure

Outstanding location and central to everything we wanted to do. Some issues with being put up in a "hospitality room" with a wafer thin sofa bed with rails in your back the first night that was challenging. But moved to a regular room the rest of the week which was as expected - a nice room. Thought we would have been compensated a little bit but the staff was great.

Good hotel

The initial room assigned had a strong musky smell, and I asked for another room, which was much better. Overall, a nice experience at the hotel. Close to the convention center and the waterfront. The hotel had an umbrella available in the room for the guest's use during the stay, which was a nice touch for a city like Vancouver.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There are plenty of restaurants within a short walk from the hotel. A shopping mall with food court is adjacent to the hotel which you can get to from the hotel lobby. This comes in handy on the days when you don't feel like a walk to a nearby restaurant.

Nightlife tip: Long walk from hotel

Downtown Vancouver is plagued with panhandlers. We were accosted frequently after dark in such areas as Vancouver Civic Center outside the metro, outside restaurants such as the Italian Kitchen a couple of blocks from the hotel etc. If this bothers you, consider taxis or avoid going out after dark.
