Very cold

Would recommend Fri, Dec 18, 2015
Well, they seemed to only turn on the heat after 10 pm or so. I felt this kind of heat situation might encourage vermin. I just dont know. It was close to Whole Foods which I love and close to all major transportation. they may have had better rooms at higher prices. I rained a lot when I was there and I would drape my rain-soaked clothes over a chair that I inched close to the heater vents. By morning, it was dry. No heat in the bathroom that I could tell. Since I was coming from Los Angeles and a warmer climate even in winter, it was notably cold but I did bring lots of warm clothes so did not suffer. I use a bed bug liner in my luggage and follow all precautions in that regard when I travel.

Great room for the price

Would recommend Wed, Jul 8, 2015
Hotel layout and floor plan was excellent however, it could use a touch up. Let's say the room had a lot of experience. Walls and appliances looked like they have been around for a while. For the price and quality matched up. Would stay there again.

Nice large clean rooms at the center of town. Convenient basement parking and helpful staff. Within walking distance to everything and a great value for the money! I would go back with no hesitation.

Affordable

Would not recommend Sat, Feb 14, 2015
I had to pay for parking. That wasn't great but the staff were very kind and were of great help! Noisy location so sleeping was a bit difficult at night. Other than that, restaurants and shopping malls were of walking distance. I wouldn't necessarily stay here again unless I don't find a better deal elsewhere.

Nothing spectacular, but nothing bad

Would recommend Mon, Dec 1, 2014
Perfectly average hotel. Location was good, about 6 blocks from the Vancouver City Centre train station. Room was big and clean enough, could use an update and remodel though. No AC, radiator seemed to be set to full blast with no way to change it, so we ended up having to open the window a bit to let the room cool off. Bed was stiff but not unbearably so. Would stay here again if it were cheap enough.

minimally decent

Would recommend Wed, Feb 12, 2014
If you are looking for a clean place JUST to sleep and shower, than this is your hotel. They missed my wake-call by 25 minutes causing me to frantically get ready but thank God I didn't have a flight to catch. Be sure to stay on the higher floors--I got placed on the first floor and the power went out and in the middle of the night when I was sleeping the staff had to come in my room for to switch the pilot light to back on.

Vancouver Trip

Would recommend Sun, Nov 17, 2013
We were happy to have a kitchen in the room. Whole Foods was just a few blocks away, so we could eat fruits and vegetables and cook healthy food during our stay. Perfect location! The included breakfast was excellent too!

Dining

Sushi restaurants are very close to this hotel with really good quality and super cheap!

Fantastic staff and location

Would recommend Tue, Jun 11, 2013
My wife and I had a fantastic experience at the Greenbrier. The hotel is right in the middle of downtown, walking distance to everything. The staff is fantastic (especially Amanda) and were incredibly courteous and friendly, even for Canada! The rooms are large and comfortable, though not luxurious. But the room is clean, the place is nice, and the price is fantastic. There was no AC in our room, but we called down and they gave us some fans, which was all we really needed. We stayed for five days and wish we could have stayed more.
