Great boutique hotel in great location

The hotel is very pretty and has the feel of a boutique hotel, with very friendly, helpful staff. The bed was extremely comfortable, which is important to frequent fliers like me. The neighborhood was filled with various interesting looking shops and restaurants. I'll have to return with more time to explore next time.

Great Staff

This was a great place to stay. Great downtown location within easy walking distance of the sights. After checking in, we discovered we were on a floor with a number a noisy children. The hotel staff quickly changed our room and floor so we would not have to listen to the noise. Overall we enjoyed out stay.

Lovely people on staff

Hotel is centrally located and staff is totally friendly and helpful. Rooms are small with tight spacers, little room to put anything away. Furniture seemed old, drawers stick. There is a nice Keurig coffee maker but hard to make it work. Ice bucket and hair dryer there but hidden. Room nice for one person but too small for 2.

mini vacation

It was a lovely hotel in downtown Vancouver. . Parking is impossible. Valet is available. Hidden charges that they don't tell for parking until you check out. That's ridiculous.

Excellent Hotel Good Value

I stay at the Four Seasons, the Fairmount and other good hotels in Vancouver. Aside from the staff front desk, which is not particularly friendly, everything else is very good. Since I don't ask for too much service, I will definitely go back because of the hardware.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Stay away from East Hasting in Vancouver. I've travelled the world and seen a lot of stuff. I made the mistake walking down East Hasting Street... I still have nightmares. Never witnessed such hard core junkies, homelessness, and street people in one place!

Wonderful one night stay

Great little boutique hotel in a perfect location when arriving by harbour plane (walking distance). The room was lovely, very comfortable, quiet, with lots of light and plenty of space. The concierge were particularly friendly and helpful- always such a bonus! The restaurant was surprisingly good (generally not a fan of hotel restaurants) and would recommend it. There is very easy access to any/every downtown attraction, from shops to venues, art gallery, waterfront, clubs, etc. While the online information said WIFI was available at an extra charge, it was free- which is how it should be! Hurray! The only things I found a bit cheesy were A) there is an $11 charge to access the gym (next door at the Y- given the great location, much nicer to just go for a run on the seawall!); and B) while there is a stocked bar, food & fridge in the room, they use powdered creamer for the in-room coffee- yuck!

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Access to buses, skytrain, harbour and shops all right there. Leave your car at home and forget about the hassle and $ of parking downtown!
