Great hotel!

My girlfriend had never been to Vancouver, so we decided to take a weekend away to the Great White North. I'd read that the hotel had been updated recently, and the rooms look very nice and clean. The views from our room were amazing. It's close proximity to downtown and Stanley Park were also a plus. It's also very close to shopping and fine or casual dining. What more can you ask for?

Big lcd tv, paid films (~12$). Free programs were a bit boring. Conditioner was noisy, so I used balcony for fresh air.

Great view, good services, nice room

The hotel is awesome, the view, the decoration and the price is friendly during promotion. The previous hotel i lived which i switch out in one day is old dirty, the services arent as good. It is call The Empire Landmark hotel, the only thing that worth to stay could be the location.

We are young and really don't

We are young and really don't have a problem when it comes to 'roughing it up' but for the amount we payed, this place was a joke. We thought we would get a nice place to stay for one night while passing through. Firstly we were told we didn't have a booking even with email proof on my phone. A printed receipt and 45 mins later we managed to convince them of our booking. We got a room with a single bed, there was still rubbish in the bin and after a month of travelling I was looking forward to relaxing in with a movie, however my laptop screen made the TV look like an ipod. I just realised this sounds really harsh but honestly I wish I had realised before we booked. This place is definitely a roof over your head but really don't expect much apart from it's good location. Even the guy on the front desk was a real creeper.

Great beds...Lots of add on prices

The rooms were well kept, the beds were very comfortable and had wonderful linens, and the view from the 33rd floor was nice. But, we were only able to get a room with 2 twin beds. And there were a lot of extra charges for things I expect to be part of the room charge. $14 a day for internet? $10 a day for parking? I would come back, but would be very careful in booking early to get a room with only one bed.

Entertainment tip: Long walk from hotel

You can walk into Stanley Park from the hotel with very little work. It was a nice way to relax after a long drive from the US.

Not too Shabby

The Empire Landmark Hotel is really not a bad hotel for the price. The lobby is updated and looks relatively chic. The rooms are a tad small and the balconies are more like step-outs, however the views are spectacular. I had a room with an unobstructed mountain view. The location isn't bad, but it is a good walk (4 blocks at least) to the hustle and bustle of Robson St. If you plan to party, plan to cab it! Overall, I would stay here again.

There is an amazing restaurant/lounge called Coast. If you're into the "in crowd" type activities, this place is a must!
