Great bang for your buck hotel

Great hotel for the price. Free wifi, but parking was $15CAD a night. The location is walking distance to some decent shops. Staff was friendly. Our shower had an issue with fluctuating temps. I'll stay here again if I ever venture into Vancouver again.

Beautiful Views

The Empire Landmark is in a great location; the views were amazing (we were on the 20th floor), and when I asked for extra towels and pillows, someone delivered them to our room right away. The bed wasn't all that comfy, but I'd definitely stay there again because the view was definitely worth it.

Going Downhill

After going there for 5 years this was the worst. Room was too warm, the toilet continued running, internet was sluggish to nonexistent, the sink faucet had no cold water, the north window was so dirty it obscured views of beautiful scenery, and the closet was so shallow that clothing had to be pushed sideways to close the door. To its credit I was afforded another, less scenic room and the staff seemed responsive. Some problems remained but not as bad as the first room.

Take the bus outside the hotel to Granville and then connect on the 50 bus to Davie street. Unbelievable variety of reasonably priced dining from around the world. Buy a book of bus/skytrain tickets.

Okay for short stay

I think the hotel has seen better days and probably was nicer many years ago. Everything was very dated; the walls are thin; the coffee maker didn't work. If you just want a place to stay and don't spend much time in the room, it was fine -- but it is quite off the beaten track.

Lacks comfort

The location of the hotel is great but the rooms lack comfort. The bed was terrible and the condition of the bathroom was very worn. It needs to be upgraded and cleaned up. Surprisingly you still have to ask for a code for Internet access. The parking is odd too. The staff were nice and efficient.

Exceptional location, views and value

Yes the bathroom is dated and a bit worn but the room was a nice size, very clean and the view from our balcony was fantastic. We had a corner room facing Stanley Park with views of the water on both sides. The parking was reasonable and convenient. The staff lovely..
