Great Staff
Colorado Sep 3, 2009
Staff was great but the room are very small for suites. It is just a smal standard size room with a bed on one end and a ... couch on the other. They call it a suite becuase they put the TV in the middle and you can watch it from either side.

best bang for buck near waterfront
vancouverboy Aug 27, 2009
We attended a conference at the waterfront conference center. This hotel is about 1.5 blocks away from the waterfront ... skytrain terminal. Bus stop is front is hotel on major hastings street. Great location with a thrifty car rental next door and all the waterfront stuff nearby. When comapred to other nearby hotels like the fairmont waterfront and panpacific, this was a great bargin. We got our room for $100/night. Clean, separate living room and bedroom, bathroom has only one sink though. Free wifi in the lobby only, and no free parking. Overall, best value if you can get it for $100/night. Other hotels were like $250/night at that time. I stayed at fairmont waterfront too last year, that is a great hotel too, even closer to waterfront, but it cost like $300/night...a higher level caliber hotel, but not worth the extra money. I would stay here again for $100/night..no problem, first choice.

Delta Vancouver Suites was a wonderful hotel that provided exceptional, friendly service in the heart of downtown. The hotel ... was ideally located a block away from Gastown to the north and a few blocks away from the bustling Robson street to the south. We always felt very safe walking around at night and it was easy to return to the hotel between outings to rest and relax. Overall a fabulous stay!

Check in was quick and easy. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Location was excellent starting point for walking around ... the city and only two blocks from SeaBus to North Vancouver. Although the food was delicious, breakfast at the hotel was expensive ($50) for two.

A 10-15 minute walk down Howe Street to the Grill on 9th Avenue (1060 Howe Street) for the $4.95 breakfast was worth the walk.

Family Friendly
mmcquarterback Jul 28, 2009
Very nice hotel with friendly staff. A little on the pricey side. Be aware that the parking garage closes at 10 PM, which ... wasn't an issue for us since our kids are in bed by then but could be an issue if we were nightlife people. They gave us warm cookies and toys for the kids on check-in. We really wish there were a pool! There was one issue -- a battery died on the smoke detector at 2 in the morning the first night. They fixed it right away, to the point where my husband dealt with it and I mostly slept!

great hotel in a great location
laurie May 11, 2009
Minor complaint - the TV remote did not work (I did not have time to call to have the staff fix it). Also, the ottoman and ... overstuffed chair were slightly grungy, but definitely not in the too gross to touch category! Staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant food and service were very good. Room service was also quite good, but not available very late night hours - if that is important to you.

Delta Vancouver Suites

Price was great! I travel with my research partner and we loved that there was a Starbucks right in front of the hotel. The ... people were really nice and the room was clean. The beds were so comfortable I think it was the best sleep I've gotten in a long time. I highly recommend the hotel. The building is maintained nicely. It looks new and fresh.

Outstanding location and staff
Jagan Dec 28, 2008
The staff upgraded me for free to the 20th floor and she was really friendly. Also, the suites are super clean with excellent ... views of Vancouver and everything was so perfect! well that's in the hotel, the parking was a problem...they share a parking garage with Simon Fraser University so the staff has to physically go out of the hotel to open the gates to the parking garage. So it was kind of annoying to call the hotel staff every time. Other than, everything was great. I totally recommend this to anyone reading this review.
